Completely agree. I hate Xhaka but we’re expecting too much of him in a double pivot. Xhaka behind Partey and Ceballios and I think we’re a different team. Better creatively, better defensively.

First half we were sat deep from start to finish, it’s optimistic to think Ceballos would have been pinging beautiful passes like he was when the team was in that shape. He would have just been another defender.
The logic from Arteta was clear, stick Elneny in there to help us defend like hell most of the game then push up and take more chances later getting Ceballos and Pepe on to unlock the door.
Liverpool were too good to keep out so Elneny became mostly redundant.
Ceballos was brilliant.
