Cristiano Ronaldo

This actually doesn’t look too bad for them. Like @Powderfinger said, they can use Ronaldo in that false 9 role that City used last year.

Now we’ve got to listen to people painting this as a bargain, then drawing comparisons to Arsenal’s spend. Urgh.

They’re getting CR7 for 23 million? And we paid how much for White? Fuck me in the goat ass.

Yep lol… although i imagine his wages are redonkulous.

It’s a fair comparison.

CR7 at this age, still miles better than 99% of all players…
23m is truly a bargain.

Think of it this way - they spent 55ish million on CRON and Varane… we spent 20 more on White and Ramsdale.

We are so moneyball we don’t even know it

About 500k per week is the rumor I have seen. I bet he keeps his image rights and other stuff too, with Ronaldo every contract has to involve complicated shit about his commercialization.

Putting those other issues aside, in wages and fee they will likely pay about £70m to have him for two years.

They’re prolly paying him a mil per week on a 2+1 years contract. Bargain is not the word i’d use.

So Ben white.

Nice.

Juventus absolutely gifted Ronaldo Serie A titles.

Paid 80m and selling for less than 20m.

100m or so must be just the wages.

When did we start adding “salary” to the original transfer fee??
Come on, how much they pay him per week, is another issue.
Transfer fee is transfer fee.

Should we also count how much money CR7 will generate for MU directly (endorsements, shirt selling etc.) as well to make it fair?

Also, people seem to forget how much ADIDAS plays a part in these deals.

Isn’t CR7 sponsored by Nike?

Doesn’t matter, the jerseys will be ADIDAS with Ronaldo on the back. The number of jerseys they would sell with what 35 pounds to print the name and number on the back that completely goes to the club, they can easily recover the entire fee in a matter of months.

The worst thing about this is that when United inevitably underperform OGS will be sacked and they might get a proper manager :sob::sob::sob:

Then we’d have lived through a timeline when Lampard, OGS, and a washed Mourinho were all managing rival clubs and Arsenal of course couldn’t take advantage, in fact we found a way to hire an even shittier manager than that trio :joy::joy: :gorilla::gorilla::gorilla: What a time to be an Arsenal supporter :clap::clap::+1::+1::+1:

Yeah, I remember there were rumours Adidas was pushing for Madrid and Juve to sign Ronaldo.

Most kit companies do when there is a potential to sell quite a lot of Jerseys. Nike selling a high number of Jerseys with Messi, there will be pressure on Adidas to recoup. United provides that
