The death rate is just getting lower and lower now, so cases are the preferred talking point.

The whole thing is joke in Aus now, we have 18 people in ICU in the whole country with it, 5 deaths under 50 ( all with significant underlying issues ). Yet we’re under a curfew, limited to 1 hour exercise a day and a 5km radius rule.

The only story in Melbourne is the job losses, small business being destroyed, economic devastation and well as mental health hotlines going through the roof.

20 weeks in lockdown since March 22 it’s absolutely absurd.

What’s even more absurd is our premier says dine in at restaurants won’t start or visitors at houses until we’ve reached an average of under 5 cases a day for 2 weeks.

I’m just trying to work out if it’s corruption, incompetence or he’s just a megalomaniac psychopath.

Yeah the situation in Australia amazes me. What are they waiting for? No deaths and no cases at all for a few months? What about other things people are suffering from/dying from because of lockdown? Do they not matter? It’s like someone has been given a book to hold on to. The whole library can burn down, but as long as that one book is safe then job done.
