Same agents I presume happy for their clients to join Chelsea and their 349852 Army Regiments when there’s no way they can all play?

I’m missing out, it seems you can be dumb and make a lot of money in football.

Chelsea have some decent players that will be looking for the exit.

Edit: Now that I think about it, only Palmer one could be decent for us.

Caisedo could have been if he weren’t such a moron.

It seems Boehly, as well as the agents, seem to think they have right to influence what players the manager should pick, so it’s hardly surprising Maresca wanted to leave.

If all the talk about the agents infuence on Maresca is even remotely true Chelsea aren’t going anywhere with this project.

Chelsea are truly fucked.

So glad Abramovic is gone and they can trickle into obscurity.

Toxic club. Lovely to hear.

Bizarre situation (if true), allowing agents to dictate minutes. Hope that Boehly continues there for a long time.

Maybe these agents are negotiating that into the crazy long contracts that they hand out.:man_shrugging:

I find them forcing out Maresca for Liam Rosineer fucking hilarious. The owners just want a company yes man.

Tbf to them, it sounds like Maresca himself wanted out and Ornstein confirmed yesterday that he’s held discussions with City twice in recent months.

Now the path is clear, if Pep goes in the summer as expected, he’ll likely be the one to take over.

He can take a 6 month break in the meantime. Not too shabby for him.

It would be ideal if Maresca replaced Guardiola because he’s done nothing at Chelsea to suggest he’s good enough to take over from the most successful manager in Europe.

Also has he got the reputation to attract top players to Man City or keep the top players they have?

Problem with Maresca is he that has nothing to him bar his one idea of how football should be played. At the top level you need adaptability and you also need to be someone that players respect.

By all accounts he was disliked at Leicester and Chelsea by many players and plenty of fans.

He’s a guaranteed fail at City especially because most of the first team is going to be different to the one he helped coach when he worked there.

I doubt that City hire him but would be hilarious if they do.

Back in 2016/17 times the leagues top teams were managed by Conte, Pep, Klopp, Mourinho, Wenger and Pochettino. Fast forward 10 years later and it’s very likely the names will read Maresca, Rosenior, Amorim, Slot, Frank and Arteta.
