Arteta said Havertz and Merino should be alright for the weekend.
For anyone that missed it, Havertz got a nasty cut right at the end of the game and Merino wasn’t feeling alright after Sommer punched him so Arteta took him off at HT.
Btw, this game couldn’t come at a finer time.
From what they’ve showed so far under Maresca, they’re very willing to attack and will try to play anyone head on.
They will hand us space to exploit, probably the most so far since PSG.
This should help matters quite significantly going forward.
At the same time this will be one of the biggest tests for our defence, unless we want to rely on Chelsea not knowing how to finish like Man Utd, Liverpool and Man City did.
There should be quite a lot of goals in this.

By the way, this is a game where I would really like Jesus up top.
Sanchez is very uncomfortable with the ball at his feet and having Jesus pressing him may force some errors.
Chelsea do build from the back quite a bit with Maresca so having someone to disturb will be useful too.

Havertz-Jesus
Odegaard to come on for Jesus at some point. Odegaard is one of the best to take over setting the tone of the press high up the pitch.
Have no confidence in us right now. Chelsea won’t have a better opportunity to beat us.
I hope Ode and Rice are fit to start this one. Also hope we don’t get any dodgy decisions against us or Red cards. Have had enough of those for one season.
With Ode back, will Mikel revert to 4-3-3? I hope he does. Hope we aren’t as bad as we were against Newcastle.
