If he was going to be rushed back, he would have surely played against Zurich on Thursday.
Which arguably would have been a better game to be involved in, after coming back from injury.

Weāve lost some sparkle and quality and Zinky brought that in when he was playing. Could be a good idea to introduce a little of that quality to the side for the big occasion when weāve been a little lethargic of late.
If heās not fit or doesnāt perform he can go off at HT. These are the kinds of things that should be happening more in the 5 subs era imo.
Iām going to assume with all the other options we have at LB heās being picked for a good reason as weāre not exactly desperate.

Tierney just doesnāt really seem technically adept enough to slot into the role. And he also isnāt a defensively astute player heās not the best in 1v1s and positionally can be sloppy.
His attacking contribution is really just bombing forward and spamming cut backs and crosses. Thereās no real finesse to it.
I like him though and think he deserves more than arguably being our third choice LB.

I think Zinchenko was meant to come on against Zurich, he was warming up and getting ready, but then Tomi got injured so Arteta changed the plan and Zinchenko sat back down.

And thereās a place for that. But with Martinelli, Jesus and Xhaka occupying that left side, there doesnāt seem a need for another body in that area.
The right isnāt as strong, which is why we see White pushing forward.
Really hope heās able to go. A 15th minute substitution is not ideal.
I was on a weekend away with a majority of Chelsea fans, after 3 years at uni Iād had to deal with them regularly pumping us and getting it in the neck. We finally turn them over, and in some style, and I was experiencing such a vicious after effects from the previous night that I couldnāt join them in the pub for it, because the best I could manage was crawling on hands and knees to the bog.
To this day it kinda hurts that I missed this one lol

First time in a long, long time that weāre marginal favourites away at the Bridge.
Tells a story about both clubs tbh, but I canāt remember this level of genuine confidence going into this fixture.
