Let’s give this Rosenior guy an harsh introduction to life in the big leagues.
Away win 2 of 4 incoming
I have a ticket for the second leg so don’t get routed please.
Compare this to the state we were in last year having to play those Newcastle ties.
Near enough full squad available (touch wood), managed to rest half the team in the FA cup first and on a good roll in the league despite the last game.
Think we’ll see mostly a full strength team, maybe a start for white or merino but he won’t start anyone crazy. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Timber LB and White RB to avoid starting MLS.
this reminds me of 2018 when we last played them in the League Cup semi finals.
one of the legs was 0-0 and I can remember a Wilshere goal in the other
I really hope we go near full strength. Let’s get this trophy now.
Kepa;
White, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori (hope);
Odegaard, Zubimendi, Rice;
Saka, Gyokeres, Trossard
I’d even use Raya tbh.
Maybe Timber can play at LCB like today over Gabriel.
Be nice to see Mosquera or Calafiori returning.
Think we draw the away leg, but have our way with them in the home leg. Treat them like a wannabe WAG at a Premier League footballer party.
Timber at left back please. I can’t watch MLS there.
Our second team should be sufficient to beat them either home or away.
I wouldn’t want to risk any unnecessary injuries or exhaustion.
We’re three wins from a trophy. This game is as important than the Forest game and more important than the Inter game.
Winning this in early March would take away half the pressure of bottling the league, cause we’d have already tasted success. We should be treating it as 85% first team minimum.
I think Mikel will play his strongest available side. Not sure what that means at LB and striker but I fully expect everybody else you would expect at the other positions.
I think the team will be strong and if we can nick a goal (especially from a set piece) we will but primarily the job Arteta is going to send them out to do is not concede/lose.
People are going to he frustrated watching this one i suspect but of we get back to the Emirates on level terms we’re very likely to progress so that will be the aim.
A semi final against Chelsea is a first team game. There might be a little rotation, but I’d expect the core of the team to be as it would for a league game.
Havertz (if up to a start, Jesus if not)
Martinelli Madueke
Rice Odegaard
Zubimendi
Timber Gabriel Saliba White
Kepa
Chelsea will be playing their strongest team for this to win and because they’re at home the pressure will be on them , especially if we don’t put out out a full strength team.
Although it’s nice to win a trophy, it would be better to rest most of our first team players for the Carabao Cup because we’ve got so many PL and CL games we don’t need any injuries to key players.
I think we play our usual first XI (for so far we have one), with only MLS coming in if Cala and Hincapie are both still out.
Raya
Timber Saliba Gabriel MLS
Zubi
Ode Rice
Saka Gyok Trossard
I think on any occasion and because it’s these bunch of mugs, I want us to always beat them, so full strength for me.
——————Kepa—————
White Gabriel Saliba Timber
Odegaard Zubimendi Rice
Saka Merino Martinelli
Havertz brace at the bridge please
