Bennacer also went for 1m, didn’t stop him ending up at Milan for almost 20m a couple seasons later and winning serie a with them.
Sometimes it just happens, Jeff reine Adelaide went for similar money not long after leaving us for pennies.
Only annoys me if we let money slip by like the infamous AMN offer or if we previously had 5m on the table for Patino for example.
