It’s not really arrogance though is it, not a single team in the Scottish top flight would finish in the top half of the PL and most would struggle in the lower reaches of the Football League.
I agree with you but Celtic with PL money would break into the top 6 within a few years.
It was more on the point of Celtic being a terrible team to join over the quality of the scottish league.
Rangers aswell they are both pretty big clubs with massive fanbases.
Hibs and Hearts could get to West Ham Everton level.

I think my post reads far more as a criticism of the rest of the Scottish league than it does of Celtic, but ah well.
It is a genuine opinion tho, I do wonder if your St Mirren’s etc are any better than a team like Oldham or Rochdale. Similar crowds after all.

Kos earns less than Sokratis, Xhaka and Kolisinac and the same as Mustafi.
Although Ozil and Mkhitayran, at almost half a million a week between them, look good value. 
Apart from Ozil’s inflated salary, those wages look pretty fair tbh.
Only surprised by Koscielny’s wage who you’d have thought would have increased during the years. Maybe getting some sort of loyalty bonus on the side instead.

According to Sky Sports , Championship side West Bromwich Albion are working on a deal to sign Carl Jenkinson.
The 27-year-old is believed to be out of contract at the Emirates this summer although the club, curiously, left him off the released player list when it was published a couple of weeks back.
Is Gibbs still there?
That would be an Arsenal RB and LB pairing in the Championship.
They’ve also got Bartley, who used to play for us, I wonder if they would like to make it an ex Arsenal CB pairing as well and take a German World Cup winning player off our hands?

Yeah, if those figures are true then aside from Ozil and Mkhitaryan, the salaries seem to be pretty reasonable on the whole. Can argue a few players should be paid 10k - 20k less but nothing embarrassingly bad.
Even Jenko at 45k p/w isn’t that bad considering he is backup RB at a top 6 club. When we gave him the contract, he was expected to be first / second choice for us. I expect backup defenders with his age profile at other top 6 clubs are being paid similar amounts.
