I can’t take him seriously as a coach. He feels like a player still.
Perhaps I’ll get buried for this but this is where the way you dress matters. You dress a bit more formal it can change the perception of you.
I see Gerrard nowadays dressed in a suit with his coat on and I immediately see a coach.
When you’re a coach you need to make sure you’re not seen as one of the boys. Big mistake to have him in that player/coach role. Rooney suffered from it too early on.
