Bukayo Saka (7)

We are screwed then…..he has been woeful for the whole season.

He has been distinctly average but we all know what he is capable of. Think he’s the most likely hero.

He better recover his form… cause… boy, he’s teetering on becoming the next Odegaard…

I hope to be very wrong on this one.

Saka might have lost his burst of speed but he hasn’t lost his bollocks. Saka won’t hide during the crunch stage of the season.

Several people on Twitter saying he’s out for the season and World Cup

The Hand?

Only lower tiers than him so far

The hand silence is worrying.

This answer didn’t make me think he was returning soon but definitely not the type of answer you’d give if you knew he was out for the season and would miss the World Cup.

Missed 25 games last season.. he’s missed 13 so far with the likelihood he misses a few more. It’s been a real shame to have lost him for so many games of football over the last couple seasons. He should be entering his best years and I genuinely believe he would be too had he not been beset by injury problems.

The silence of the hands

that’s what happens when you run your players into the ground. Grind them to dust in training and then matches, until there’s nothing left.

Putting my thoughts on Madueke to one side for a second, Saka back-up should’ve been prioritised and purchased 2-3 years ago.

Cooked by 24. Could’ve avoided this.

What evidence is there of this?

None. I’m just assuming + kneejerking

why

Heard in the past about Arteta’s training methods being too intense, and I’ve been running with it cause I’m still seeing red unfortunately.

For some reason I often think about the days when people were saying Klopp-ball wouldn’t work in England like it did in a Riesling farmers league because the physical demands are too much, he’ll never get more than half a season out of a team.

Reality is and has always been that Arteta has played players where there is no adequate replacement (like MLS being shit this season) or players are injured.

We have great depth this season but that depth is meant to cover one or two injuries/players needing rest.

For half the season we are missing 4/5 possible starters at any one time. Then when players return we all expect they are immediately up to speed and ready to go…

we are/have fallen apart this season and we have/should have had more than enough to get better results and have already sealed the league but it is also true that injuries have also impacted.

The real game changer this season is City spanking in the window, which has helped turn their season around…maybe we should have done similar…

Even when things were positive before Christmas, it was obvious that Semenyo would have moved the needle on for us.

Anyone knows what was the actual latest fitness update on Saka?

Any chance of him returning soon? City? Next week?

Boy we need him…

I just can’t stand seeing us right in the middle of a fucking title race, mid April, and we are looking like just another midtable team.
