I haven’t seen a single outlet or a fan outside of OA say that Saka didn’t have a good game.
Any mention I’ve seen overall was positive bar you and @Truth_hurts .
Listen, it’s your opinion, fair play if you want to stand by it but personally I couldn’t disagree more.
He was clearly fine. Milked the fuck out of it when it happened and had us worried but he walked off for his sub just fine and was dancing with the boys at FT.
The goals are about to come. Great time for him and Gyokeres to regain belief, and put in meaningful performances. Feels like a turning point.
I’m banking on Bukayo bagging against Chelsea. One week of training and prep, starboy will roast that horrific, ugly-hearted bastard of a cunt Cucurella.
We scored the opener off his corner but certainly not a great performance from him.
Struggled against Hato. Looked better against Gusto but we were already managing the game at that point.
Yeah I mean corners being of good quality are expected at this point, I don’t give as much weight to them doing a relatively basic task.
Not diminishing it completely as we do it better than most, but we had so many years of duff corners we got too used to failing to beat the first man as the standard.
I don’t think it elevates his performance across the season by whipping some good corners in. Need more in open play.
I do wonder where that “action of brilliance” comes from in this team. See Cherki yesterday.
I guess Saka had it against Spurs for that opener and Gyokeres for the second.
We’ll need more moments like that with our upcoming games.
We don’t have it, because we have more athletes than players with technical ability.
City have Bernardo, foden, cherki and doku who can all whip out a moment of magic on the ball, even if they havent all been in top form. Doku and foden have both had patches this season that won city games, while cherki has been on form whenever fit.
Our moments are set pieces with Gabriel or occasionally Trossard.
I wouldn’t agree he hasn’t been on his proper level this whole season, but I definitely did think he looked a bit below his usual level, physicially, ever since he returned from this latest groing injury.
