Bukayo Saka (7)

Every argument for Saka playing could almost certainly be used for Eze starting. Plus Eze has a CV of playing at CM in the Premiership. I’d give Eze 60 minutes to show he’s worthy of a starting place here. Thought he was unfortunate to lose his place when Captain no bollocks returned. Eze’s form is stinky. Do or die for him. If he plays a starring role in 6 points against Wolves and Spurs - this is impact. If he bombs again then he becomes the Norgaard of our attack.

Not convinced Saka is 100% fit so let’s ease him back. If we want the plural version of a trophy, a fully fit and hungry Saka is essential. He’s essential for us to win one really as he’s our best attacker by a margin.

Eze has had two good games this season, Spurs and Wigan. I’d imagine Saka would have had way more success there than he has had if Saka had the same minutes in that position.

He (Eze) was pivotal in us getting 3 points vs Spurs and Palace. Plus had defining moment vs City and Bayern.

He has not been good enough but this is the part of the season where we see if Madueke, Zubi, Eze, Gyokeres and Mosquerra are difference makers. Zubi has been quality - the rest (bar Mosquerra and Kepa, who are meant to be bit parts) haven’t moved the needle.

Great news.

Now it’s time to turn in some trophy winning performances. The stage is set for you Bukayo. The next 3 months are all yours.

Why does this feel like old news? I honestly thought the official announcement happened already.

Yeah it’s been exclusively broken by Fabrizio, Ornstein and Mokbel several times

I guess this means we might get the announcement later today.

Now kik ball, and scor g⚽️L.

Well in celebration, sharing the best Saka comp out there:

Really need him to step it up in the run in. Hasn’t really done much this season by his standards. Hope he does turn it on when it matters.

Let’s hope signing a new contract doesn’t affect his form like with some of our previous top players like Walcott, Ozil and Odegaard.

That might be a bit of a stretch mate :winking_face_with_tongue:

Right move but this’ll be interesting. Is he a 300k+W player?

I’ve been on the more sympathetic side of his performances. I can also see the scrutiny getting toxic.

It’s all contextual really. If Jesus is taking home 250k a week and Havertz allegedly 275k, Saka is definitely worthy of 300k

Now when you’re putting all that together…

I really hope Saka doesn’t become injury prone after this renewal

:grimacing:

glad he’s signed the new contract, but I still think he’s on the verge of being cooked by 25. Needed the Mads-esque back-up about 3 years ago. Better late than never I guess.

Like everything else connected to Arsenal! :grinning:

Fantastic news. Not even blinking at the money touted, the guy deserves it carrying this team for the last few seasons.
