Madueke hasn’t surpassed Gerbhino as things stand.
That was the narrative in the media last season after Madueke got that hat trick against Wolves. I remember he also had a pretty good outing with England too which prompted dumbasses to make shouts about him playing ahead of Bukayo.
Tbf, Madueke getting shouts like this doesn’t bother me anymore. He’s our player and being compared to Bukayo should be a compliment. A lot of people tried to made it look like we signed some bum in the summer, incl. the same Chelsea fans that used to make shouts about him better than Bukayo, lol.

Seen a couple of Mancs on X saying Amad is a better player than Saka
We should know by now - Saka is always the bar. You have to be in the form of your life to even get compared.
It is only Salah who is above Saka in the league these days and now that Mo is in horrible form, the media do not even want to open the discourse into whether Saka is currently better.
Madueke is nowhere near Burton but that’s not a slight.

Yeah, same fanbase that had Garnacho as the best youngster in the world only to beg for him to go less than 2 years later.

Saka was pretty poor today, so the news he had been ill makes sense. Pleased he was substituted and Matinelli made a difference when he came on. Hopefully, nothing significant and will be back fully fit next weekend.

Two very good chances for Saka yesterday. Really need starboy to step up. On the other hand, it was also promising to see most of our attack taking place from left hand side. Refreshing.

He was superb against Atleti and Fulham, best player on the park in both of those games. Didn’t have a great game against Burnley but the fact he got those two chances anyway is a good sign.
Most important thing though is that he stays fit.

Tbf Saka does need to start scoring more soon. His recent PL goal scoring record is making Trossard and Martinelli look prolific.
Hopefully he’s got his eyes set on the Spurs Bayern Chelsea run.

How so? He’s got more PL goals than both this season.
He has one non pen goal in his last 16 PL games and no non corner assists in his last 21.
