Bukayo Saka (7)

Tough one for me.

Imagine if it was Kai missing that chance…we would have more posts on here asking for a new striker than posts on Rice getting a red and red fucking up…

I just have no feeling on Saka’s miss.
All players have that.
In fact, from all shitty things adding up, today is just not our day.

Didn’t Havertz miss a big chance in the second half to get us back in front?
Nobody’s on hin for it as far as I have seen.

No

Was it a big chance???
Really?

Wasnt the rebound to Saka the better chance since the goalie was out of position??

Anyway… I am not criticizing anyone, sorry if I sound like that.

You always dodge those, Sham :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

No, I’m just saying nobody’s jumping on either for it.

He was just stretching for it which reduced the power of the shot. I think if had just been a bit further forward, he would have buried it for us.

Nah, was stretching for it and couldnt get much connection.

Probs knackered just trying to get to it.

Props to the fella for running the length of the pitch and being anywhere close to getting on the end of it.

He did well to even get a toe to the ball. It was one of those where any other player, maybe apart from Martinelli, would not have even got to it.

So just me who thinks Saka didn’t run intently enough to get in the right position. I felt like Saka was bit slow in the buildup and found himself a yard short.

You’re thinking about the wrong chance I think.

Saka had a big chance after Havertz went one on one with the goallie, the ball fell to Saka’s feet and he took a pretty lame shot.

I think that was the one @YJYUX was refering to.

The one where he had to slide in was the harder one, and I’d agree it wasn’t an easy one to finish, a bit out of his reach.
But definitely should have reacted better to the previous chance.

Ah fair enough, I was definitely thinking about the counter that the keeper saved. Thought that’s what he was meaning by the ‘tee up’.

I was referring to the chance he had to slide for but appreciate there was another chance, I only caught the highlights.

With the way it’s phrased I’m not sure whether to say yes or no lol

But no Saka isn’t the best

yeah in retrospect, I think Salah is above Saka. Not sure why I didn’t think of Salah as a winger in this instance.

did he take the armband when Ødegaard came off?

edit: vice-captain?

my fear with Saka tbh. his minutes need to be managed better
