Not bad for someone who’s not playing well

But he ain’t world-class because he doesn’t dribble like Ronaldinho.

He’s on the brink of world class for me. If he keeps this up, he’ll be in that category for sure.

World class.

Make whatever commentary of football today you want to, based on this, but he is one of the best in the world.

Thank you.

Yeah I feel like he’s already there tbh

What team does he not get into?

the way i see it is if any team in the world didnt have a top class saka shaped hole in their squad and we were willing to sell who wouldn’t buy? Real Madrid would be on the phone as would bayern and barca.

We were also worried that he would not sign and Pep would try and get him. He would easily fit in at Liverpool and Manu etc, so yeah any squad in the world would get him if they knew it was a possibility to get him especially if there was a hole in his position. To me that is world class!

He has not grown into a better player compared to last season though. Saka used to improve as a player year on year but so far he looks the same and I was hoping this is not his peak.

Salah and Saka are by far the best and most consistently effective in the PL.
But Saka is still very young, while Salah is at his peak and might leave Liverpool.

The way he skipped around 3-4 players near the box in the Lens game showed me he definitely stepped it up a level.

He’s become way more clinical than he already used to be. He’s on course to smash his impressive output from last season.

With regard to finishing is that really the case?

Prior to the Wolves game he hadn’t scored a PL goal in 2 months.

How poor was he against Villa. Looked like he wasn’t interested, which I know it not the case, but that’s how it looked. Just looked jaded and slow all through the game. Can happen to the best of players but our problem is we don’t have anyone good enough to replace him. I would have subbed him and Martinelli at half time if we had decent options.

So I think the problem is that we don’t trust our subs so why sign them to new contracts. Villa put subs on and do you think their subs are better than ours? Then we wonder why Saka looks tired. You have to show confidence in your subs. Nelsons late minute sub was a head scratcher.

most like we did not have budget to buy more player(s), and giving out pay raise through extensions was the only way to maintain the squad at that moment.

Who would know Eddie could not improve a bit?

Still believe Arteta doesn’t know how to uses players and develop their confidence. Eddie has had plenty of opportunity and has been the exception.

Examples?

can we accept the fact that, Eddie was just average?

If we can go back again, I believe most of us would still pick Balogun ahead of him, but he just wanted to be the starter…

Look how our players flourished under Arteta in the past 2-3 seasons…
I do not know what happened in between Teta and Ramsdale/Raya… other that this, I believe most players are well develped under him.

Just gave some above. Bringing the kids on against Lens, late substitutions of many players like ESR, Nelson etc when games have been won.

Bringing on kids for random o’clock minutes doesn’t do a damn thing and ESR has fitness issues. Nelson is mid and I’m not sure why he’s here.
