I don’t know if I can articulate myself well here but those that play football may understand, but it’s as if Saka has never played street or cage football.

You can just tell with his discipline in the use of his pace, energy and composure on the ball that he has always played academy football since the very start of his footballing career.

There is nothing about his football that gives street or cage football vibes; not a bad thing at all, and not a bad thing if he has such elements but Saka is a complete disciplined player from a tactical perspective and for any coach, he would be a dream to have as he is truly a adaptable systematic player with consistent output. You compare this to Martinelli, you understand a lot more.

Saka, Kane, Bellingham. Gonna be sad seeing how England manage to fuck the Euros next summer.

Yups! His play is very measured and controlled, whilst Martinelli’s is non-stop fight for your life football. Upbringing definitely counts here. Martinelli plays like your typical South American; fire in your belly, full of energy for 90 mins. Sanchez, Suarez types

7 from xGA of 2.7 is mad as well

Yours is better because it features Gabby Jesus too :raised_hands:

He’s got 15 goal contributions in 17 starts this season (7 goals, 8 assists).

Objectively, he’s not really sparkling either. He’s getting special attention from any team we play against yet all it takes is one delivery, one ball carry or one moment really.

What a player.

It’s clear why Arteta plays him at every opportunity he can, he’s just so great for the team and there no one else in it that can replicate his influence.

Props on Arteta for making an early sub for Saka against Lens. I do think he needs to do more of that in the PL but I understand that how teams in the league play against us, we’re often needing to break the deadlock or manage the game in a way that Saka’s wizardry is needed. Hence playing longer minutes. A bit of a conundrum but he’s a hardy player overall and I suppose it can’t be perfect all of the time.

Saka is easily our best attacking midfield player since we’ve been at the Emirates and because he’s young, still has plenty of potential.

Apart from from Sanchez, Ozil and Cesc, we’ve had very few of his quality, but the difference is they were surrounded by mediocrity and Saka is playing alongside top quality players.

Agreed, fine for him to play most games but he needs to be subbed as soon as a game is won - he’s too important and plays too many games for us to be risked for every PL minute

It’s not always about being eye-catching, but instead being effective. As he’s matured he has learned the art of that.

He was so good today.

Can’t believe he wasn’t awarded a penalty after their player smashed him to the ground inside the penalty box.
