Massive game.

Brighton have been very inconsistent but are always a dangerous side.

Raya;
Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori;
Odegaard, Zubimendi, Havertz;
Saka, Gyokeres, Martinelli

Expecting Rice to miss this one and Odegaard to return. Hopefully see Havertz starting in that 8 role if he’s deemed fit enough, if not then probably Norgaard?

Trossard usually scores against them, I would start him.

I’m gonna be at a David Byrne concert at this exact time, and I’m not that sad about it. Hopefully I can forget all about the stress of the game and check my phone at the end of the gig and see we’ve bagged three points.

Unless we lose a couple in which case they’ll stop mattering :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

On the basis that Rice is out:
Raya
Timber-Saliba-Gabriel-Hincapie
Odegaard-Zubimendi-Havertz
Madueke-Gyokeres-Martinelli

I’ve said before how that’s my least favourite front 3 combination but this should really be a game those 3 should all thrive in with their threat in behind.

Gonna be a really tough game, on paper our toughest till we play City at the Etihad. City have failed to beat them either home or away this season. Just get the 3 points any means necessary.

I’m thinking Saka LW and Madueke RW, to switch it up and then have TrossiNelli as ‘finishers’.

Norgaard gets a start, as does Øde. Havertz with the clutch chip-shot to send the seagulls home with no CHIPPY TEA.

I don’t care how, just get the three points. If we can manage to get it done then Everton at home is the only PL match we have until April 11, which is exactly what we need right now…a break from PL fixtures.

We’re physically jaded but I think we’re also just psychologically worn down from going into every PL fixture like its do or die. We play a lot looser and more freely in every other competition.

This is a massive game. Nothing except a win will do.

Classic banana skin fixture.

I think freshness and intensity is needed. I want to see Madueke start. His high energy directness is a real weapon. Brighton also played on the weekend so our superior rotation ability needs to be used here.

Physically we need to dominate them, and with our squad, we should be stronger and more athletic on the night.

Fuck it. I’m up the road from Islington on Wednesday night seeing the Psychedelic Porn Crumpets at the Kentish Town Forum. It’ll be an amazing gig but I won’t really enjoy it until we’ve got 3 points in the bag.

I can’t complain, one of my Gunner friends in the village is having a wake for his dad on League Cup Final day, I’d rather be missing a league match for something enjoyable than what he’s doing.
