I saw one clip I think it was smackdown I don’t remember.
I saw a bunch of random Samoans who looked like the Samoan Spirit Squad (in terms of looking like jobbers) who all for some whatever reason have beef with Roman.
I then concluded WWE is doing stupid stuff again and not bothered looking at anything since.
Well, I don’t think they’re doing stupid stuff but I don’t see anything from a distance that’s really making me tune into RAW or Smackdown.
I’ve seen one thing that has peaked my interest but that’s moreso an online theory from fans on who might join the original Bloodline at War Games.
I will check out Survivor Series but that’s with the hope they do something to close out the year strong.
They could very well be saving stuff for next year though once they go to Netflix.
Not sure if I mentioned this before but for us in the UK, from the 7th of January all WWE shows(not just RAW) will be available on Netflix.
Yeah, I wonder what will happen to the WWE Network.
It’s been a safety net for them the last couple of years just in case they had no deal in place in some region. However, my understanding is that this Netflix deal is global, Triple H did emphasize on that in one of those post show pressers.
Edit:
Oh, looks like there has been an update on this just today.
Looks like some select classic catalogue will make its way to Netflix. That was my expectation as well to be honest.
I think past Wrestlemanias are a given, perhaps expand it to all of the big 4 really. And then the rest will be a bit more handpicked.
Ideally we get the whole WWE and WCW classic catalogue though.
Watched RAW the other day on catchup and can confirm it’s exactly that. Lining up for a huge 10 man bloodline battle at Survivor.
Both tried to get Rollins onside, seem to be setting him up for a surprise return to help Roman after all, but I could be wrong.
And the whole Damien Priest v Gunther rivalry feels forced, Priest is a decent speaker but Gunther just can’t work up sentences. I get it’s part of the character and storyline but still, he seems to lack the main character energy.
Was watching some lads debate which WWE/F wrestlers they’d put into their Mount Rushmore and then it got derailed into a Top 10 because they couldn’t fit everyone.
It did urge me to come up with my own Top 10:
Austin
Hogan
Rock
Cena
Taker
HBK
Bret
Foley
Triple H
Lesnar
I think Orton and Reigns have a good case of making it into the list once it’s all said and done.
Think it was largely because DX was a thing when I started watching. Then after DX disbanded, he stayed my favourite because: 1. I think my football fan mentality was too strong and I thought I should stick with what I had chosen and 2. I was a contrarian and didnt want my fave to be Stone Cold or The Rock like everyone else (to my football dominated brain, this was like supporting Man U)
Looking back now, post DX Triple H has nothing over either of those two, makes no sense why I kept riding for him so hard lol
Have you seen this? This is Max Landis, a popular young filmmaker(he’s been cancelled now, I’m sure you can guess why) back in the early 2010 talking about his fandom of Triple H.
This video blew up when it was first released and it was bit of an eye opener that there actually plenty of Triple H fans out there.
Yeah I mean I think what he brought to the business is legendary.
If I was a bit older I’d probably have to consider Bret’s impact as he kept the show rolling post Hogan, but I just loved everything that triple H brought even though I was a huge Rock fan girl.
Even the way he’s now transitioned into running the show and his creative input, the man is a mainstay of WWE from its best era and for over 30 years now.
For me he’s the ultimate WWE guy(him and Taker really) and it’s a bit fitting that he’s landed in the spot he’s in now.
Had his hand in so many eras, been through the dog house, climbed through the ranks, stuck around when his peers didn’t, married the boss’s daughter, put over a bunch of people, buried a bunch of people, had a singles run, had a tag run, was involved in multiple iconic factions, retired, unretired, retired yet again, the list goes on and on.
He didn’t really have the charisma to become a big film star in the way the rock, Batista and cena have, even though I think he tried a bit of acting? I’m sure I remember him in one of the blade films
