Bret Hart Was Quite Good

There were two problems with cult leader Bray for me. Firstly the amount of nonsense he talked in his promos was just too much even with the Easter eggs he put in there and secondly that WWE positioned him as a main eventer but he always lost.

Even with Taker it was goofy as fuck

To be fair, the Undertaker character had such longevity there are bound to be a few turkeys in there. That run he had before he became biker Taker where he went fully satanic also sticks out.

Oh and that time he drowned Paul Bearer in cement. Which wasn’t supernatural, just stupid.

But given how cheesy that character could have been, I think they got the balance right much more than not.

Think Bray was largely pretty awful. He had a good run as Bray the cult leader which unfortunately ended in him losing big matches at Mania but the stuff he did after that was just crap.

Yeah wasn’t a fan of his work at all, the fiend stuff personally was very brutal to watch.

I really liked the Fiend and the funhouse as character work. It suffered for Vince’s booking though. I get it’s not for everyone though.

everything about that debut was stunning, it was powerful as well and made me really think of Bray

they have the start of his new group done perfectly, hope they don’t mess anything up and keep it going for as long as possible, Uncle Howdy looked a bit stupid before but this version with the dreads is cool

I agree as well with what some people on here said about Bray in the past, they didn’t always book him the best and he lost tons of big matches, he will always be my favourite though from the newer WWE era

This new stable will be fantastic, RIP Bray <3

Bo Dallas has always been an entertaining character and I always thought one day he could become this type of character, his time to shine

Has the 3rd episode of Who Killed WCW aired yet?

Yep, watched it the other day

Vince Russo and Hulk Hogan

It’s literally just this. The numbers they were doing on TV were still fine. They were still pulling 2.5 ratings for Nitro so the product still had appeal clearly.

People overstate the significance of the talent and creative issues. They didn’t kill the company, the merger did and they’d wanted WCW off their books for over a decade prior to that even when it was at its peak. They never wanted WCW, only Ted Turner did and the moment the merger happened the company died.

It’s really this simple.

The man that loved Wrestling had the power and the means to keep it on the show, after the merger the people who wanted nothing to do with wrestling now had to means to get rid of it.

Last two Smackdown shows were “cinema”.
Despite the criticism from fans since Wrestlemania, Bloodline story is still going strong and neither Roman nor Rock have been involved yet.

Literally. Bloke has no need to be taking bumps.
