Bret Hart Was Quite Good

Speaking of Owen Hart, the algo is promoting Owen Hart stuff online, probably because of the Owen Hart Cup AEW is doing.

And unfortunately, this video is popping up again:

This shit still makes my stomach twist.

Should of stopped the event. Fuck Vince man that’s not Owen would of wanted

It’s a really sad story that him and Steve never made amends. To the point that Steve was holding a grudge against him even after Owen died and decided not to attend his funeral.

It’s weird how that Dark Side Of The Ring change the perspective towards Martha. Everybody used to think she was a bitch for not letting Owen go into the Hall Of Fame and even Bret criticized her for it but after watching that episode you kind of see her viewpoint and actually side with her.

I always saw it from her point of view. I personally think Owen should be in the HOF but I can absolutely see why she doesn’t want him in there. The whole thing could of been avoided but the two Vince’s insisted he did it. Even Owen didn’t want to do it but he did because he was a company man

From Austin’s perspective though I think it’s that Owen, for as nice a guy as he’s said to have been, never tried to make amends for it. He shortened Austin’s career dramatically and made him change his entire style of wrestling so I get why Austin was angry for so long

Aww man I think Grizzled Young Veterans are leaving WWE :santi: either that or they’re being called up to the main roster

Love Owen to bits. Vinnie should really have put the belt on him (even if it was only for a short while) between dec 1997 and the RR in 1998.

Owen’s stock was high then. Even Tyson cheered when Owen entered the Rumble.

Yeah, I was watching Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions with Bret the other day and Steve for the first time in a while didn’t seem bitter about Owen.
It was weird seeing it because from one side it’s good to see Steve moved on from it but from the other side I think it would have been great if they hashed things out with Owen alive.

From everything that I heard about the story. Owen was just embarrassed about that incident and couldn’t face talking to Steve about it. I believe JR mentioned recently that from the discussions he had with Owen, that incident ate him alive along with him not reaching Bret’s level.

Are those the Progress lads?

Aye, boys from Liverpool and Blackpool. Heard they’re getting called up to the main roster under new names

Hmmm, do you think they’ll last?
Feels like getting called up nowadays is a death sentence rather than a blessing. WWE haven’t done a mass release for while now, considering the rate they’ve set the past 2 years.
Last time we got one was around late 2021, early 2022.

Feels like a guarantee there will be one sometime this year and the last remaining OG NXT guys are prime candidates to be chopped off. Ciampa’s already off with a bad start on RAW.

I think it’ll be a disaster, I hope it isnt. At least Walter and Barthel are off to a decent start, making em look great, think Walter will be the one to beat Ricochet for the strap

Yeah, I’ve seen some stuff online and it looks like they’re taking Walter/Gunther seriously. Unfortunately though, WWE has built zero trust with wrestling fans that makes you think they won’t screw him up at some point before ultimately releasing him.

I just dont hope they go down the Kozlov route of pushing him too fast too soon, and he ends up a comedic character

Kozlov, Tensai, Brodus, etc.
We’ve been there before.

Looks like they’re already setting up Seth to get his win back from Cody which beats the whole point of going over at Wrestlemania. 50/50 booking baby. Edge is now an upper midcard mumbo jumbo cult leader like Bray was.

And NXT 2.0 is back to being shit that month and a half where Ziggler and Roode made the show important again.

It really doesn’t feel rewarding anymore watching the shows in full. You can keep up with what’s happening via social media and you’re covered.

Yeah the new NXT really sucks lol, you can tell Vince got his paws on that because its more “Sport Entertainment” now when it was more wrestling when Triple H had it

Triple H recently made an interview about it trying to justify NXT 2.0 .
Quite an embarrassing interview as he attempts to paint a false image over what actually happened.

This was the most embarrassing quote of them all:

He tried to flex Roman making it to the Tonight Show recently when he was snubbed in 2019. Completely overlooking that Roman main evented 4 straight Wrestlemanias by then, worked with Brock, Cena, Orton, Taker, HHH and everyone big you can think of. He even featured in Hobbs And Shaw.
Yet it wasn’t till they were forced to turn him, something we’ve been calling for ages, for him to finally shine, and unfortunately for me and many others, it was perhaps too little, too late.

Unfortunately Triple H is a company guy and won’t go against or have an opinion on anything Vince does

There have been a few hopeful(myself included) he would take a gamble on himself but with his recent heart condition I think he is happy he is still alive and wealthy.
