Judging by this clip he should be our new number 10 lol… Quite impressive on the ball.

he could have more assist than Ode.

attacking midfield concern, resolved.

Remember reading that in his time at Brighton and Leeds he has not been responsible for a single error leading to a goal. As opposed to all our defenders who have about 87 of them.

People really do need to stop thinking about the price and where we’re buying him from though. He is decent.

He’s definitely more adventurous than Ode, that’s for sure.

Impressive vid.
Too bad we gave away the number 10 and the chance to have a Ben 10 reference

You’ll never see him do anything remotely close to this in an Arsenal shirt. Arteta will have all that creativity sorted out ASAP.

Shock horror…a negative comment about Arteta. Completely random as well! It would be nice for some positivity on these threads…just a little! please!!!

I’m really getting tired of all this negativity about being negative.

Stop being negative lol…club are spending Ā£50m on a new CB tomorrow! Fans have been going on for ages about getting our primary targets and getting the deal done…the club are doing that this summer and there is still negativity.

Genuinely think a lot of people have never actually watched him. Just complaining for the sake of complaining. ā€œHe costs too muchā€ ā€œhe plays for Brightonā€ ā€œArteta will use him wrongā€

Just enjoy the fact we are spending cold hard cash. Complain if he does end up being shit not before he has even played for us. Poor guy. But from what I’ve seen he is already pretty established and cool headed. I really rate him. Only concern is he’ll use us as a stepping stone and be off in a couple of years

doubt this considering he’s taking a step down from brighton to us

Nah you’re 100% right. Some people on here are just using this as an excuse to shit on Arteta

We need better than decent for the outlay so I hope you’re wrong in that regard, we need a top 3 CB in the league etc as part of the puzzle to try and push us back into the top 4.

In a certain way, yes I think I am pretty ignorant…

United spending money on ā€œexperiencedā€ Varane and we are spending ā€œhugeā€ on the ā€œpotentialsā€ of Ben Fucking White…

Willing to spend is a positive, and ā€œhopeā€ we spend the money right this time.

But that is the difference between us and Utd atm. Utd have CL football and are looking to compete for the title next season. They are spending big on experienced players like Varane.

It is becoming clear that our strategy is to build a young squad, full of potential, who can develop together and capable of competing and winning in a few years time. We can’t compete atm with City, Utd or Chelsea so we are taking a different approach and one that I personally agree with.

This really worries me, pal.
We are going to be irrelevant for a few years and hope for a bright future.
Not like having a group of experienced players to cancel out the incapability of the manager.
We need a good manager to guide and lead the young players, and for me, Arteta is not that man.

I disagree. Look at the young talent that we have and what we are adding to the squad. Saka, ESR, Tierney, Gabriel, White, Lokonga, Martinelli, Balogun…the list goes on. Personally, this is what I pay my season ticket for and I can’t wait to be back at the Emirates and seeing these young players develop. We are building a team for the future and you can win things with kids! Still a long way to go in this transfer window and more signings to come.

I realise that I am a lone voice when it comes to Arteta but the younger players have really gelled with him. Just listen to how Saka and Tierney talk about Arteta. He can inspire these players and I can see a style of play and a formation that could be really successful. If you haven’t guessed, I am really positive about our future and I’m really excited to see the talent in our squad deliver for us next season.

Those are meaningless, you can find quotes of Tierney praising Neil Lennon and Emery, and similar quotes from Saka.

I doubt gutless, shit football that can’t beat Emery’s Villareal will be successful, he couldn’t inspire the team to get more than 1 shot on target on the most important game of the season.

And before you bring up the ā€œdefensive stabilityā€ Arteta brought, it’s easy to improve your defense if you refuse to take any risk and play a football so shit that would make Van Gaal proud.
