Watching it all the way back from Odegaard’s backheel, I think you also gotta question where Dowman was.

Dowman nonchalantly walks back, even though the error started on his side, he’s nowhere to be seen by the end. Meanwhile, on the opposite side Martinelli you can see Martinelli sprinting back to cover.

Noticed this Ngumoha as well, their intensity and alertness off the ball is nowhere near the rest of their team, and it’s something that these kids will have to work on.

I feel the opposite, he’s not the benny of old despite some good performances this season. Looks a yard off the pace at times even though he was never the quickest.

I think the injuries taken a hefty chunk out of him, especially in terms of the demands of playing full back in the league.

Unless there’s a big improvement in the final weeks of the season I think Benny Blanco will joining Kepa, Martinelli, Trossard and Jesus in the summer transfer departures lounge.

Like so many of our promising players injuries have reduced them to squad players with inconsistent form. I’ll be sad to see him go, but there’s no room for sentiment if you want to be an elite team.

Solid performance tonight and a good way to bounce back from that Soton match. He allowed the Sporting forward to get behind him on the early chance but that was just an incredible ball from the CB that nobody really saw coming. After that they generated very little threat down our right.

Grew into the game and had a solid performance in the end. Shame none of his crosses came off, hopefully next time.

His dinked-ball down the right channel always gets me - whether it’s Madueke or Saka, it really freshens up some of the play and totally breaks what the opposition thinks we are doing.

He was all White on the night.
