no need to concentrate on what I said about Perez.
I was just replying to Trion’s negative response on losing Saliba.
He never was the quickest but does he look like he’s lost a yard of pace following the knee problems?

That solo run in the first half and long shot in the second half.
He looked like those retired ballers in those charity matches where they’re washed physically but show glimpses of their old self.
He’s admitted in an interview that he’s not pleased with his recovery and that he’s planning to sort that in the off-season. He did mention Timber as an inspiration coming back from his ACL.

I think he showed against Newcastle what we have been missing from an attacking sense. It was great to see him make those runs and have those shots. Also good to see him, Saka and Odegaard playing in those triangles…been too long.
