Benjamin White (4)

Diabolical.

Have to respect his decision. Besides, there is no glory to be had with England. Sorry to all the passionate English fans here.

Action speaks louder than words.
Benny will prove his value to England NT by his performance this season.

I mean some players just don’t give a shit about international football

Why would he make a decision now when no head coach has been appointed?

It would backfire to declare his return, and the new manager is one of the Brexit patriotic guys who doesn’t stand the likes of White, who refuse to play for the nation.

He would be wise to wait it out and have a meeting with the head coach first.

I don’t think I’ve respected something a footballer has done in the game more than what Ben White did to Southgate and his cronies lol

Fair do’s to Ben. If he doesn’t want the England gig, that’s his prerogative. It removes an avenue of injury risk that could negatively affect us.

Ben White at fault for the equaliser. Saliba is telling him to stay central but he carries on following Mitoma and leaves a gap in the middle which Minteh runs into. Not great defending from Gabriel either who looked to have it covered but got beaten to the ball.

I actually think Partey is more at fault for the goal. Raya saves the first effort, but Partey lets Pedro run past him and doesn’t track his run into the box.

There’s a collection of errors but the passage of play would not happen if White remains central. He decides to follow Mitoma and that allows for Minteh to run through 1v1.

And Pedro doesn’t score, if Partey deals with his run. He doesn’t track him.

That’s what I was thinking but I’m admittedly not generally a fan of Partey’s performances these days so I’m open to the idea that someone else was at fault.

I’m not saying others were not at fault, but ultimately Partey was the player who should have been marking Pedro.

Kavanaugh was at fault for the Brighton goal.

Thought he was one of our best players today.

He’s looked off since preseason. He looks ripped but he doesn’t actually move like he’s fit.
Odegaard the same.

They’re two of my faves and usually the players I feel more comfortable in and out of possession but they’ve looked rough.
Plenty of hospital passes and touches from both today.
