All my Utd friends are saying White is a poor defender and knowing Arteta heāll be replaced within 18 months.
Not sure how much I agree/disagree here.
If weāre looking to level up with each cycle of the process, then eventually every player we have will either need to level up or move on.
Right now, it seems Ramsdaleās under threat, but next I can see it being our CB options.
Arteta has a habit of cleaning up the squad every once in a while so we donāt end up like Liverpool/Chelsea who have to do a full re-build every 3 years.
United would kill to have a defender as good as White.

As a RB, I can maybe understand why heās not picked. Trent, Walker, Trippier and James (okay heās injured) are all brilliant RBs.
But England are weak at CB. How White doesnāt get in over Maguire is utterly baffling.
Canāt complain from an Arsenal perspective though. Heāll be well rested which ofc suits us.

Unpopular opinion: Maguire is better at CB than White. Genuinely think heās awful at defending at CB, especially in āā2āā.

At defending in that position yes. Heās a great RB though.
His omission from the England squad has little to do with ability or form in my opinion. Itās got to be an issue with Southgate.

Your Ben White hate is extremely illogical. Just admit he is a class footballer be it at RB or CB.
The thing with Foden at the Etihad last season was puzzling and might suggest it could be more than just Southgate. Itās been kept under wraps quite well though.
