What’s crazy is that Sesko’s agent seems to be working more for RB Leipzig than anybody else.
His refusal to actually agree terms with any club just puts those clubs into terrible negotiating position with RBL. But the more they have to pay on the fee, the less they’ll be willing to pay in wages.
Almost every agent in this position would have negotiated for a while and then agreed terms with United, who can pay higher wages than Newcastle for sure.
His strategy is quite possibly going to price United out, get RBL their maximum fee, and leave his client on 150k per week on a mediocre Newcastle team that is like his fourth choice destination this summer and without Isak will struggle to stay in the CL.

Either he’s gonna end up world class or it’s gonna be another Mudryk situation…
I think there’s talent there but it’s a big risk with his goal return to date.
I’d have been more than happy if he was a backup signing for us at 40-50m but the prices are absurd.

Alternatively, if a player knows his former club is getting 90m, he’ll probably expects that this valuation will also be represented in the wages he gets offered by his new club.
It’s difficult to name too many strikers 21 and under (he turned 22 at the end of the season) in a top 5 Europeans leagues who have scored 40 goals across two seasons including 27 across two league campaigns.
Those are impressive numbers when you look at it against his actual age. He’s got a better goal record than most young strikers too.
I don’t know if it’s the era of Messi and CR7 with the crazy Suarez, Benzema and Lewandowski reasons that have fooled people into believing that 21 goals for a 21 year old striker last season is somehow a bad number?
I think I do largely agree with everyone that the pricing is excessive but he is probably going to be one of Europe’s next but striking talents and he has all the obvious tools to get there.
The striker market is dry which bumps the numbers up for guys like him too.

Cunts actually gonna get a ridiculous amount for him.
I think he’s a better fit for the type of system Amorim is trying to install wrt the attacking and pressing, that’s in addition to being a proven goalscorer in the PL who can hit the ground running despite not being at his peak.
Mbeumo, Cunha behind Jackson isn’t the most technical front three but its very lethal and gritty combination offensively with a ridiculous physical level that can actually be productive with G/A.
I don’t think sesko is a scrub but its seen more as a developmental signing, more in the mould of Hojlund

I’m guessing it’s the salary that makes him favour United over Newcastle. He’d be an instant star at Newcastle.
The thing is, it doesn’t matter who United sign. The club is rotten inside out and no young player can prosper there. And I’m here for it.

They’re in a mess, the defence has been neglected, the midfield is arguably worse and although Mbuemo and Cunha are decent, they’re not exactly world class, neither is Sesko.
