Kid can’t complain. Had a release clause in his contract and a plethora of top clubs ready to sign him last summer and he decided to sip on that Red Bull.

He ain’t ready for a big move
Playing in a two and playing centrally alone is significantly different and I would rather go with the proven player in that lone central position in a front three. Part (although not all ofc) of the reason why people think number 9’s are finished in football is the fact that they’re compared so much with strikers who played in a 2.

There’s potentially a reason he is made to play in a two currently, I don’t know of many supposed top strikers that are made to play in a two man pivot
And still isn’t like he dominates with the extra help either
Not to say Sesko couldn’t become an animal in a few years time but we just aren’t in any position to take that gamble.
He could maybe be ready in two - three seasons but who has that kind of time and even that is no guarantee
Certainly not for 80m or more.

21 should mean you should be special to play for a top team such as ours not putting up mediocre numbers in the Bundesliga where players scored for fun
The whole premise with Sesko is he isn’t ready right now, Gyökeres not being the finished article at the same age is irrelevant
And nobody was asking 86m for Gyokeres at that age either

Tbf, if he would cost something more reasonable like 30-40m I’d take him.
He’s not there yet but there is a player to work with here.
