His highlights are certainly impressive. I think to get the concern about his hold-up you’d have to watch hin in a full match.

His finishing off both feet (and in the air too) is really special. Partly its that we’re used to such a low bar from our CFs these days. But his left (weak) foot is an absolute hammer, it might be stronger than Havertz’ strong foot.
What also pops from his highlights is that he scores all types of goals. Right foot, left foot, header, volley, slop goals in the six yard box, thunderbastards from outside the box, breakaways cooly tucked away when 1v1, goals in crowded boxes where he has to make a yard on his own, slick combination play with teammates, etc.
Compare that to a young striker like Hojlund who basically scored two kinds of goals in Italy (breakaways 1v1 with keeper and slop in the six yard box) and unsurprisingly struggles in the PL.

Throwing this out there, if we’re gonna sign Sesko, I do not think we’re signing Nico as well(either now or in the summer).
I think we’ll look at a different profile.
Agreed, it most likely will be one of Sesko/Williams, and then a striker like Vlahovic/Gyok either now or in the summer.

Why do you think the two are linked?
If we sign Sesko, we will be in great shape down the middle with him and Havertz (with Kai sometimes also playing 8) but still looking very thin on the wings with Sterling gone after this year, Trossard potentially leaving fairly soon, and Jesus likely not a real factor next year until the spring.

In that case I’d be a bit disappointed, I feel like we need more firepower. Jesus is done here and Sterling will go back in the summer; that still leaves us short by at least 1 man across the front 3.
Tbf I’m not saying we won’t sign another striker. I just don’t think it’ll be one of the 2 you mentioned.

I feel like GC meant we’ll get more of a creator on the wing than a direct runner since sesko is fairly direct himself.
If we really are in for him then I’m all aboard the Sesko train and I’ll be super excited to see him.

Yeah, I think the profile of the wide player might be different.
We may look for a wide playmaker rather than a wide forward.
Mind you, Williams has the capacity for both but I think the bigger potential for him was moreso as an inside forward as he showed during the Euros.
So more of Wirtz type rather than someone like Williams.
