Why wouldn’t Castore adhere to the request?
Tbf, I imagine creating a whole new kit midway through the season isn’t easy. There’s a lot of planning that goes into things like this. Very likely fans who bought the kit won’t be happy about this either which can quickly become a big legal issue as well.
Not a good look at all for Castore because Newcastle also exercised their exit clause too and they will continue with Adidas instead from next season.

Maybe Castore gave them test samples to play with and Villa didn’t do their homework. Regardless, for a lesser sporting brand, you ought to be more flexible.
Your colour schemes & designs are already available. You most likely sell a regular version to fans and ask Villa for a couple of months to make a new version available.
Maybe, but wet t-shirt contests in the bars around Brum are about to spice up.

They’re fucking wet. Don’t know who thought it might be a good idea to make the shirts retain more moisture, while literally everyone else is fighting to keep them as dry as possible.

We had one and I remember players always looking sweating in them
New Balance did it with Roma in the past as well but I don’t think it was this bad.
Iirc Barcelona had an issue with their black Nike kits retaining too much water.
That must be a massive contract because at his age and with his recent form, clubs like Chelsea and us would be looking at him and would pay him more.
Just like Bowen, he is at the level his talent deserves so good on him to secure the contract beyond his peak years.
