Yep, big pressure on that game, looking like a 10th placed league finish below the likes of Burnley and Sheffield United.
It’s really showing in this match. Play is too slow. Villa are well organised and at our pace we won’t break them down. Right now we seem to play better when we have the majority of possession. Very sloppy and pathetic looking right now.

It looks like we’re getting dominated by them. I like Torreira but he can’t hold on to the ball or move it very quickly imo.

Kola just slowing things down too much and never moves us forward.
That’s the thing. This style of play worked against Wolves, Spurs, Liverpool and City.
The 3rd defender now isn’t of much use. Need an extra creative player in midfield.

This game is a reminder of the creativity vacuum in the midfield.
We’re trying to create everything down the wings which we often do but it’s not coming off today.
Play is a bit lazy and we’re letting them press too easily, need to wise up. Not the same chemistry either especially with Xhaka, KT missing.

The drop off from Roadman to Kola is ridiculous in terms of creativity.
Need some changes sharpish. The team looks out of ideas.

Miss the chemistry and Kola is not a CB and shouldn’t be in a back 3. Cedric doesn’t run at players like Bellerin. Torierra just isn’t doing much.

If Arteta is serious about trying to fight back in this game we need 3 or 4 HT substitutions, Bellerin or AMN, Tierney, Xhaka and Pepe.
That was a long and boring first half. Thank goodness it’s over. Hopefully Arteta makes some early changes.
