So its not the same is it. Spurs 71 was big as that leads us to the double for the first time in our history. Yes Wengers first decade is the best side in our history and that in the era of sky and social media grows our fanbase etc. But please get some real perspective on this club because its a unique football club whose traditions go way back before Wenger.

Well I guess you could say that’s not true but at the same time while we were a big club in England we were no way near being one of the biggest football clubs in the world as we are now
Now you could say that that is due to the explosion of the premier league and football as a whole but still, we were very successful at the beginning of this period of football blowing up commercially thanks to wenger…
I would hazard a guess that if George Gresham was still at the helm during the expansion of the premier league up until today we wouldnt be the global super power of a club that we currently are
There is no “guess” about it. We were a big club. People have conceded that we were made bigger in the Wenger era. That’s not up for debate. The point being made is that to say we were not a big club is absolutely ridiculous.
George Graham was not our only manager pre Wenger – we have a proud history dating back to 1886.

Everton, Newcastle, West Ham are all currently “big clubs” that’s what we were, just more successful but a similar profile
