Arsène Wenger

Uff. I feel genuinely sorry for the guy. Whatever flaws he has, the players are fucking useless.

said exactly the same to my pals. I have been and always will be a believer and a supporter of Wenger. However as a club, we have truely fallen from grace.

He just isnt equipped to lead us further and the intrinsic belief i held about it being a money issue has been all but destroyed. It’s almost heart breaking.

Get yourself to PSG lad. ffs.

Trying to work out where that banner is, and assuming that’s the North Bank, if you can see the edge of a jumbotron but no Man City fans, that must be around block 7 or 8-ish at the back, not far away from where our seats are.

Bet that banner caused a bit of a ruckus. It’s embarrassing how certain banners are allowed and others aren’t, with little clarity on what constitutes an acceptable banner. Stewards don’t know or won’t say, I’ve asked enough of them.

were you there today? if so what was the atmosohere like?

I don’t really goto home games anymore, but seeing banners like that and knowing how some people get wound up either as strongly pro or anti-Wenger factions, plus add in alittle alcohol to the mix, you can see why people say the atmosphere has gone sour right around the ground :expressionless:

I’m surprised you can only see 2 stewards in that photo!

“Schoolkids could’ve gotten through our defence today”

(It’s funny. Yes it is.)

We changed our name for this game and we are winning… In whenger we truss

Back on track… Wenger seemed rather subdued after todays game.think he’s been told what has to happen and he’s not liking it… No smirk(unless he smirked after i turned off)

Whatever one thinks about AW, it has to be clear that other teams have more positivity and optimism and energy going into the future than we, despite all that we have going for us. Going to be really hard for me to muster the same energy myself if AW stays on, but I have been fearing it a while and I see no reason to believe 2 more years is anything but inevitable. The Board/Ivan have no balls whatsoever.

Getting to a point now where I don’t care whether he stays or goes. There’s not a special coach out there that’ll give us an edge against our rivals, we don’t or can’t compete with Chelsea, City & United for the biggest talent and our recruitment process isn’t any smarter than our rivals. We have no edge.

Anything but a good win, against a West Ham side that are in a similar position to us, and I can’t see how Wenger can possibly sign a new contract.

If he is waiting for us to have a good run of games before announcing it, he has under estimated how poor we are.

If you mean the ones that wan’t him to stay, then you’re right, there is something very wrong with them.

But I’m not sure they would be describes as a large section of support.

tbh he has to be waiting for the good result before announcing. Disgraceful if so.

He’s responsible for most if not all of that though, there’s plenty a new coach can do to enable us to be more competitive, we don’t need an edge per say.

Wenger staying is much worse than him leaving period.

They turned into Arsenal, went 3 up and ended up drawing the game 3-3 and lost me money…

But they are his players, players he bought after careful consideration, players he has stuck with for many years. It’s all on him.

Mate, you talk like this is yet to happen. In all probability, he has already signed he contract.

Wouldn’t be the first time he has done that. In fact, isn’t that the exact reason why we are where we are today.

I wonder when he announces his extension, maybe if we beat West Ham on wednesday night ?
