Hes (Wenger)actually had a good run before the real abuse started…Can understand the “wanting him to do well”, but how long do you give him? By my reckoning hes had a good 5 to 6 years to sort it out , some would say hes had longer… It just isnt happening…Time is up…
You might want to check the Cech or Coquelin thread or even the match thread as there’s enough criticism of those players in there. It’s really not like this place has been sparing them just to pile all the criticism on Wenger.
Wenger: “But I’m an Arsenal legend!”
Fans: “And we salute you nonetheless”
Alternatively, people take the very simple fact that we haven’t won the league since 2004 and haven’t come remotely close to winning it in 80% of the seasons since…and stick with it. Goalposts firmly rooted in place, thanks all the same.
Whats with all (the) talking like this (lately)?
I’ve defended coquelin before when he has been unfairly targeted, but rightly criticise him when he is shit.
OA can physically see wenger being pissed off at the clowns on field, but that by passes everyone; I personally think one of his downfalls is trusting players, but there fine line on how you treat people ask mourinho.
But that’s how you look although time and time again facts have gone to show we were lucky to be in the the top four after or move and debt.
We have have come close to winning the league but as you know there can only be one winner; so let stop pretending this club has been a shit fest for the last 13yrs.
Not biting… Play(on)
But they don’t just sit there with the same manager persisting with the same players repeating the same mistakes like we do.
If you look at a club like spurs you can see them gradually overtaking us.
They have a young team with a manager who has new ideas.
We look like a worn out version of a team who uses to be ok, with a worn out manager lacking any ideas, and stagnating.
Our supporters need to see something different and need a massive lift.
We have tolerated the worst transfer windows of any other top club in Europe and, apart from Sanchez and Ozil, what other players have we bought that have really got the supporters excited.
Considering the amount of top players we have sold, I think we have been some of the most tolerant supporters in the PL.
For a long time mate it’s gone we don’t spend now we don’t spend enough; from we don’t win anything to the fa cup isn’t a real trophy so no people move the goal post as they feel and knee jeekers have been doing the thing since 2006.
We don’t spend enough.
We spend the bare minimum.
People who support Wenger go on about him spending a lot of money on Xhaka and Mustafa, but he should have done that the season before, when he spent almost nothing, and threw away the chance of winning the PL.
He doesn’t spend enough, and he neglects strengthening important positions in the first team every transfer window, claiming that players like Giroud, Walcott, Ramsey, Coquelin, Chamberlain, Mertesacker, etc are good enough to win us the title.
If you think the FA Cup is some sort of measure of a top European clubs success, then I would suggest you tell that to Ozil and Sanchez, because I’m fairly sure they didn’t come here to win a trophy that most PL clubs field their second team players in.
No one is shifting the goal posts, it’s been like this for far too long.
Do you seriously think Wenger is going to change if he signs a new contract?
If you aren’t moving forwards then you’re invariably moving backwards and now the AKBs can no longer bleat on about finances since the arrival of Ozil (not that they could for 2 or 3 seasons before that), it’s actually them moving the goalposts, as the reasons for Wenger’s lack of a league challenge (that’s league challenge, not Fa Cup run) stack up increasingly at his door.
I wouldn’t expect otherwise from a manager sitting in the stand but that doesn’t take away that it will ultimately be his responsibility that the team apart from being not great individually (not for the first time) didn’t know how to effectively create anything.
That’s been his problem for a while and also one reason why it’s so infuriating seeing him put trust in the same players over and over again with the hope that one of them might come good one day. He’s still not anywhere near someone like Mourinho in that regard though and could really do with being ruthless once in a while or at least give other players a chance when it’s evidently not working with his favorites. That’s entirely on him and he will rightfully be criticized for it.
I’m of an age to know what you are saying is true Bill. But in Wenger land 5 a side and warming up are trophies.
The French c**ts dragged us so far down I keep saying good at cobblers every time I here someone mention arsenal.
I can’t stand the fookin French fkk off con artist.
You’ve just about said everything that needs to be said about arsenal and their manager Craigie.

Brexit voter alert
Wow. Len, the ship that just keeps sinking.
Try to ask to Florentino Perez, Uli Hoeness, PSG board and FA.
I would like to pay many money to know if the old Arsenal fans hated the managers and the players during the 1980 when Arsenal finished the season outside the top 6 many times, didn’t won the league for 19 years in a row, didn’t won the FA Cup for 15 years in a row.
Had Neill, Don Howe and Bertie Mee received the same abuses?
Had Pat Rice, Frank McLintock, Peter Storey, George Graham, Charlie George, Liam Brady, George Armstrong, Frank Stapleton etc… received the same abuses for many years without a single trophy?
How can we possibly know, in an era before Twatter and online message boards? However I dare say there would’ve been an element of unrest in long periods between success, the 60s, the early-mid 80s. These discussions would’ve just taken part in pubs and in the workplace. instead of fucking Arsenal Fan TV
Quite besides that, modern football has an element of instant gratification about it, and for that we’re all to blame. As the cost of football goes up, of course people will start to place demands on their clubs for success, compared to back when football really was just a sport.
You’re trying to apply hypocrisy but it doesn’t work as football was in a different place back then. Also football was far more of a level playing field before 1992 (when football began). You didn’t have a small number of clubs so dominant over the rest in terms of power that they are all considered to have to challenge year in year out for titles.
