Arsène Wenger

Yes, can’t argue with that. The guy made us a global football club then got old and stubborn.
15 years of steady decline that no-one at the club had the nerve to step in. I was so concerned back in 2012 that I had a forthright email discussion with Gazidis. He seemed as delusional as Wenger.

A few weeks later we bought Arteta, so I’d like to take some credit for our resurgence.

Will the statue be Wenger with his arms open in front of the Man U crowd or trying to zip his coat up?

With his cock out by the looks of it

Indeed. Arteta has Edu, Wenger and Graham had Dein. I can’t stand Dein because he pretty much sold the club out to try and get himself a little plaque for his desk that said “David Dein, Arsenal Chairman” but we really should have replaced him with someone Wenger could have worked with.

Don’t think this is accurate at all. He pretty much ran the club in the role that he had anyway. He made some very bad decisions to go with some very good decisions in his time at the club but his focus was on pushing the club forward, don’t think there was much personal glory sought. Obviously there is other sides to the story but his autobiography is worth a read/listen to get his.

I think we can probably spare ourselves the debate on this because I really hate Dein for what he did with Usmanov particularly. I’m not going to come around to your way of thinking.

The most I’ve listened to him in the years since was when he appeared on the Arsecast and he came across then as someone trying to portray compete self-interest in the end as some kind of concern for Arsenal. I can’t think of anyone off the top of my head whose Arsenal legacy is more tainted than his.

Wasn’t suggesting you should. My perception is that that particular read you gave is a wrong measure of him and I was giving an alternate view for anyone who might be interested.

I don’t get people’s fascination with this one lol. The ignominy of having to stand there with those wankers…that’s not the lasting image I want of Papa Wenger.

Just because it was fucking hilarious at time and he’s there like a big dick don amongst the rabble

Missed a trick with this. Looks lovely. I guess making it gold isn’t easy to maintain?

Nah man it wasn’t. I was fuming. Another defeat at Old Trafford. A last min equaliser chalked off for being millimeters offside. Wenger kicking an empty bottle. No foul langauge or abuse to a referee.

And he gets summoned to the “stands”, surrounded by ManUre fans.

The whole thing stank

Say what you want about him, forever a legend, that will never change.

Well, unless he turns out like Jimmy Saville or Fred West.

Nothing will make me hate the guy. I became an Arsenal because of him and Thierry.

Lost that damn game too. Then City came and piled it on. Then in January United came to the Emirates then beat us again.

For me , great manager for the first years then seriously underachieved.
Selling our top players and buying utter crap .
Why didn’t he strengthen the Invincibles ?
