Will we start Merino or give Sterling another chance?

Going to this one :grinning:

My third game. Second London derby in a row lol after Brentford last year.

Hope we compete the trilogy with my 100 percent win rate in tack

Looking forward to seeing Nwaneri live

At this point just start him as the forward. He’s shown more in that brief cameo than Sterling has done since he arrived.

Merino surely starts after yesterday. Having him come off the bench was smart because if hadn’t scored from a start people would have written him off in the position immediately but now everyone’s seen he can do it.

Merino up top and we win!

We have to play the front 3 of Trossard, Merino and Nwaneri.

Talking about Merino, now you could say it’s a shame we haven’t seen him up front earlier this season. He’s obviously one of our most dangerous players in the air, the second most dangerous one I’d say. Also has great positioning. It’s no surprise he’s been so dangerous.

We are generally putting in a lot of crosses all the time so a guy like him up front could do wonders for this team. Now I’m very curious to see how he works from the start, in the build up, link up etc.

Also Nwaneri… Now I’m so happy we didn’t get a winger in this January. If we went into the market we would had to pay at least 50M to get a winger who would make such an impact he has right now.

Hopefully he just stays fit and he’ll have a massive impact on our rest of the season, even when Saka and Martinelli get back.

We’re in good shape now with the new found strikers and wingers, the rest of the season can start!

Internal solutionz FC strikes back! :wenger:

Nice one.

Flight or train down?

Sterling cannot start. The interesting decision will be whether Calafiori or MLS start.

We cannot let West Ham gain any sort of confidence. Hit them hard and press relentlessly from the start. 3-1.Arsenal

Flight. I would never get the train takes about 5 hours brutal :joy: plane is like 30 to 45 mins

I really hope Arteta mixes it up a little in this game, especially since Merino (duel monster) is the stand-in striker now. Some good old route one football every now and then is what we need. Lump the ball forward, use the duel monster to win it and lay it off to Trossard/Nwaneri, who can both put in decent crosses into the box for Rice/Ode/Merino.

I think Arteta will prefer to have Merino as an impact sub. If he starts him right away, the only impact sub we’ll have is Sterling.

I don’t want to start him up top but I also don’t want to move Trossard from his left-wing position. So yes, Merino up top

It’ll be the same team which started against Leicester.

Merino the super sub.

Match ready!
