Arsenal Vs Tottenham (PL)

I think Raheem Sterling skipped the first two steps. :mustafi:

The one time I’ve liked Kane. What a greedy hero

How he doesn’t square that… greedy fucking cunt. Only intensifies my hatred for him remembering that.

It was an interesting match. We did create a few decent chances that Laca absolutely fluffed in his normal fashion. However the big difference in the match for me was ESR and Tierney on the left, my gawd they were abusing that scum right side of defense it wasn’t even fair lmaooo. My motm was Smith-Rowe I love this kid as soon as he came off in or around the time of the red is when we lost control of the match.

Other great performers for me were Xhaka, who was massive in midfield. Lately he doesn’t look quite so sluggish dunno what’s gotten in to him but as annoying as his back passes and slow build up are, he could get away with it against the scum because the smooth brain tactics Mourinho used. Xhaka was in all the right places to cut out their counter attacks, credit where it’s due Arteta is definitely helping him play to the best of his ability (we should still be aiming hire but for tonight against a 7th placed shit scum side it was good enough)

Gabriel, u could give him motm as well and you’d get no argument from me. Dominated that shitter Kane and saved that ball off the line, fucking BEAST :clap::clap:

Cedric was a big factor for me as well, someone will correct me if I’m wrong here but Kane and Son punished the fuck out of us on the counter
In December especially on the right hand side where we had Hector and Holding last time around :face_vomiting::face_vomiting: we were probably a bit fortunate that Son went off injured so early but yeah sad times for vegan boy when ur being outplayed by Cedric at RB :joy::joy:

This match for me highlights the ability we have in the team. We’ve got the players they aren’t the problem, it’s the coaching/managing that’s the issue. These guys are just relying on pure ability to win these matches right now, I don’t like where we are as a team overall. Arteta gets credit tho for out maneuvering a shitty Mourinho today at least, props for putting that fucking scrub in his place.

Respect to Arteta. Saw Lamela got sent off and he immediately introduced Willian to make it 10 vs 10.

Confused by the commentator and people in this thread that didn’t think it was a penalty.

Raheem must’ve made fun of his lisp. Only explanation.

(other than wanting to be the hero himself and absolutely fluffing it. The twat.)

Except for the last time, when they didn’t deliver the world cup but had an heroic failure akin to Dunkirk and were treated as such by the press and the fans. :joy:

Don’t remember all this crying from Jenas when Luiz got sent off at Wolves plus a penalty. I wonder what’s different about this situation…

Brilliant result - great performance overall. A few thoughts:

  1. Hope people realize what a footballing nihilist Jose is at this point and are glad we didn’t get him
  2. Arteta still has a long ways to go, but I have to give him credit - we are playing better since turn of year… I’ll see how the season closes before passing judgment, but perhaps for first time I wonder if he couldn’t come good
  3. Partey was bad… worse than Xhaka today… I still think Xhaka is a useless lump, but he hasn’t been as tragic lately as usual. Fair play.
  4. Liking our young attacking talent - ESR, Saka, (Ode) - some things to be excited about in future…
  5. I am not sold on Pepe, but that pass was sublime

And the sitting of Auba - was mixed on it but on reflection (and with positive result in rear-view), I think it was right… you simply cannot have players breaking rules repeatedly without consequence, especially your stars - they need to set example… Titi, Bergy, etc. were consummate pros and you need that sort of drive and motivation from your top players - it helps set standard and example.

Haven’t been watching as reliably lately or posting as much, but today I was glued for every minute. Had a terrible feeling that we would largely dominate and get undone and ofc it started that way, but a bit of a break on a deflection before HT was so huge.

Over the moon atm.

I know he’s ex spurs so for you guys it’s obvious why anyone would dislike him, but I’ve just always fucking detested him. He’s just so dislikeable, so bland, so monotonous and dull, how does this clown have a job in ā€œentertainmentā€

Call me immature, whatever, but I would love to have seen him get completely cropped by Keown/Adams/Gattuso.

I’ve noticed that. Glad to have you back, mate.
