Here we go, the big one. Already shitting myself. COYG
3-0 again would be fantastic lads please and thank you
I take it that if I haven’t heard back from Arsenal about my ticket ballot by now I was unsuccessful lol
I’d even take 4-0 if pushed.
Would be immense taking another big lead to the second leg.
Also a bit annoyed we’re at home first twice, against teams who finished well below us in the group stages.
Hope UEFA look at that.
if Merino, Partey and Jorgino all are unavailable, who will play in midfield ?
I saw Arteta joining the rondo the other day, can the old man still go?
2-1 is my gut feeling.
Not sure why, as bit worried without Partey and they will definitely score. Hoping we can bag our two from somewhere.
25th I think is the draw for red
Should be MLS in midfield and Tierney at LB for me
They have to make that change, higher seed gets 2nd leg at home all the way through, not just for the rd of 16.
Yip, they made a big fucking joke out of this new format. Apart from not having to play a play-off, there seems to be very little value in finishing high in the table. We don’t need a specific draw for who is home or away, fucking UEFA cunts. Use the damn table that is based on actual games of football played.
what about a 6-0
5-1 will be a good score
Will not be an easy match but I don’ see PSG has the ability to beat us at our home.
We have the confidence and better momentum than them, after eliminating Real.
Key point is the execution.
Can someone who knows what they’re talking about explain why PSG are spoken about almost as a different team to the one we comfortably beat in the group stage?
I get they’ve progressed as a team but the way some people talk it’s almost like the fact we’ve already comfortably beaten them is somehow irrelevant.
Well back then they were still adjusting to Mbappé leaving and didn’t have the settled midfield they have now. New signings like doue and neves were settling in and as a whole they looked pretty shit tbh. Wasn’t just us that punked them in the league phase but they finished well and destroyed Brest in the playoff.
Now they are much more settled and playing well as a team, smoking opponents in the league as you’d expect, wrapped that up already and can focus on the CL.
Midfield of Ruiz, Vitinha and Neves now looks pretty set and gives their front 3 a good platform to play from. They’ve added kvara and dembele wasn’t available we played them last.
Certainly not unbeatable as Villa showed just a week ago, but playing much better football than when we saw them last.
I think it was in Atletic podcast that someone raised a point that when we met PSG, we didn’t have Odegaard and we played 442.
So this match is gonna be a different experience for both teams.
