Monaco aren’t bad as the both Ligue 1 and CL table show but what makes you so pessimistic about this?
We schooled PSG without Odegaard and having Calafiori playing RB for a half.
The benefit of the European fixtures is that while teams may do their homework, the advantage for us is that they don’t regularly play us and know exactly how to stifle us.
I think this is going to be a good game for us.
Personally, I wonder if we see some sort of rotation for this.
I think we’ll see Merino come in. Perhaps an opportunity for Mikel to try out Odegaard-Rice-Merino finally.
If Zinchenko was fit he’d probably start too. Martinelli or Trossard for the left wing is a bit open really.
Would be nice to see Jesus start up top.
I’d expect him to be rotated in if he was in a better condition.
I think Havertz will get the nod. Jesus probably gets his chance next week in the League Cup, same for Sterling.
Best thing either can hope for this game is us wrapping it up early and they get 20-30 mins as subs.
You’re probably right, I’m just really bored of Havertz up front atm.
Probably not the game to mess with though as a loss puts them in front of us.
Yeah, I also think the sooner we seal a Top 8 spot, the better. An easy win here puts us in a great spot and we can use the last two games to rotate more in-between the games against Villa, Wolves(a) and City in January.

I’d rather play Havertz into goal scoring form. There’s more chance of that happening than Jesus remember how to play football.

The attack looked lively against Notts Forest with Jesus starting.
We can still play Jesus and have a good attacking display because our players are much better than the opposition.
But I just don’t see Jesus finding any consistent form at all, whereas I’m sure Havertz with a goal can go on a similar run like at the start of the season.

I really can’t speak for 2024, but back in the day you could always easily park around Canonbury. Might depend on which part of the stadium you’ll be sat in, and how quickly you walk ofc lol, but that’s probably about a 25 min walk if you cut across Highbury Fields.
