Arsenal vs Man Utd (PL) 2-3

this is why I don’t understand why fans think the league is done. 7 points is nothing imo.

Let’s it get to 10+ at least. I don’t want a title race, heart can’t take it anymore.

Wait a second, who is thinking that? People were having a unnecessary meltdown over Forest.

some online mainly, plus work colleagues. But like you say, we draw and then the meltdowns occur (i’m one of them tbf, but never thought we’d be here in the first place)

Like Chelsea, I feel like they’re owed a result one of these days.

They came a close a couple times recently. Still think they’re the team that gave us our toughest game this season at OT in the opener.

Can see a smash and grab from them but hopefully I’m wrong.

Forgot the FA Cup win this time last year?

I definitely don’t want to remember it.

Got a bet on have you :pires2:

There was a time where we were only 2 points ahead. Then Man City won a game and overtook us, before we took top spot right back.

And that’s when Man City were performing a bit better than they are now, and we were battling more injuries.

With 16 games left, alot can happen but I have faith that we’ve got the fight in us, to not give up first place easily.

Pep is doing his mind games because he knows on the pitch, we have enough foundation to keep our destiny in our own hands, and Arteta will keep us grounded. PTSD is our worst enemy but I’m hopeful.

20 years of being an Arsenal fan lol

I’ve got the same trauma. So much pain and false hope through the years, afraid to get hurt again.

I won’t genuinely believe it till we have it is a near certainty. My insurance policy.

I think we are the best team in the league and will probably do it but I am only 70 percent for now

Yeah and especially for me since I started supporting arsenal in 2006 so I’ve literally only known us in the drought period basically.

Don’t get me wrong I loved the FA Cups but watching us over the last 20 years has been painful a lot of the time and I don’t know anything else lol

The two seasons where we bottled it in the last stretch to Man City and also losing to such a shit Chelsea in the Europa League just leave me with a lack of faith sometimes. I’ve seen it come crumbling down too often :joy:

The Leicester season hurt me too. We beat those cunts twice and still bottled the league. We had such a good team to with peak Ozil and Sanchez. But fucking up another transfer window really came back to bite us then.

22 years of hurt, never stopped me dreaming

For me I’m only 30% convinced we’ll do it. 3 off days is very possible between now and May.

If I see a 10+ point lead, I’ll have 70% confidence.

Last 20 years, we should’ve had 4 EPL titles.

2007/8, 2015/2016, 2022/2023, and 2023/2024…

This year should’ve been our 18th league title.

We’ve got some catching up to do.

Fuck yeah of course how could I forget that - the only team to do the double over them in the league fml

And yeah 2007/08.

It ain’t over until it’s over that’s for sure.

We never had the manager, the squad, the owner, the belief or the mentality to win it in 2015/16

We had Ozil and Alexis and lots of mediocrity in the other 9 positions, the dugout and the boardroom

The 07/08 season was a bit serendipitous with players like Fabregas, Flamini and Adebayor having breakout seasons but I dont personally categorise that as one we should have won. That United team had Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo who broke out as a superstar.

Was that the year of the Eduardo leg break?
