Tough to see how we lineup for this one. Very tough. Saka may or may not be fit. Calafiori is out. We don’t know if Timber will be back. Zinchenko is either not fully fit or completely out of favour.
The confirmed absence list is:

So we know we’ve got 3 top players out at the very least and the person who would have been most ideal replacing Saliba is also injured (Calafiori).
We’ll see but hopefully Saka and Timber are back.

Even if everyone was fit, we’re always a bit more reserved against better sides, and so are our rivals to be frank.
Not sure if you watched Liverpool-Chelsea last weekend but Liverpool were more than happy sitting back, letting Chelsea have the possession and hit them on the break.

I don’t mind sitting back when the play dictates it. But to go with that as our go to strategy in a home game seems silly to me.

Yeah, hugely worried about this. I can’t find a first 11 I’m happy with.
We will need the fans to be up for it and that will only happen if we have a fast start - that is all we can really hope for. If we look uninspiring the fans will turn into an anxious wreck and it’ll filter down.
Terrible feeling about this… glad Saka is fit enough, but obv he might take a game or two to get sharp again… key players out, struggling a bit for fluency… where are we going to get magic from?
I reckon it will be tight affair but they will just have that tiny bit more cutting edge and take the 3 points.
I don’t want this, but it might not be awful.

I was about to type something shitty about how slow that midfield two would be but I don’t hate the idea of Rice at centerback which would allow us to not play Partey at rightback.
Edit: all bets are off if Timber is fit though. I think that would change things a lot.
Some of these line ups aren’t helping my ‘We’ll expose Liverpool’ confident prediction here.
