Arsenal vs Liverpool (PL) 2-2

11 vs 11, we can get at least one point.
3 is possible but 1 is more likely.

Can’t lose at home to fucking Arne Slot in his first season. He has to earn that right.

Arsenal win.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

I’m not convinced he’ll be back before the November international break. The last thing we want is him to come back for us and then go away with England again for no fucking reason.

Yeah same got a very bad feeling about this - we’ve been on the slide for a while now

Has anybody actually been impressed by Liverpool? They’ve picked up results, but thought they’ve looked beatable in every game bar the United battering.

We’ve not really got going yet, our season thus far has been hampered by injuries and suspensions. We may have to chase the pack but once Odegaard is back we’ll start to tick.

I can see us squeaking a win again. If it’s via one GK own goal so be it.

It’s funny how narratives work.

If Arsenal were producing the exact same performances and results, the media would be all up our arses about how we’re peaking too early, that’s not how you win a league title etc.

But for Liverpool, It’s just sickening adulation from every cunt in the world.

We need to beat them on Sunday irrelevant of injuries and suspensions. Huge game.

Whatever the fuck happens in this game, we better not pick up another Red card cause I don’t know what I will do if that happens. Ben White, am looking at you. Stop fucking around with throw-ins and just get rid of the ball. You don’t want to pick a yellow for time wasting and then have to walk on a egg shells for the rest of the game.

No Saliba, Ode, Saka. Can’t see anything but a loss tbh.

We’re playing terrorist ball that is going to be a given. The reaction if we lose won’t be pretty.

So do Liverpool so it should turn out an awful watch for neutrals.
I wouldn’t hate a draw given the circumstances but 5 points off City isn’t an ideal situation.

It’s not terrible to be five points behind knowing the best players in the squad are coming back rather than knowing you have to ride out the rest of the schedule without your most important player. City have looked average without that terrorist in their midfield.

Unless there’s a timber miracle it’s gonna be a defence like this:

White - Gabriel - Kiwior - Zinchenko

Against the best front 3 in the league, good.

Interesting that Zinny hasn’t played yet despite being back.
Noteworthy that MLS was subbed in against Shakhtar instead of him.
I don’t think he’s fully fit and I’ll be surprised if his first game back is against Liverpool and Salah.

I think Arteta should consider pulling Rice back in defence, let Partey stay as the #6 and have Merino take Rice’s spot.

On paper I think this should be a decent team to take on Liverpool:
Raya
White-Rice-Gabriel-Kiwior
Saka-Partey-Merino-Martinelli
Havertz-Trossard/Jesus

Hopefully Timber is back for this, even from the bench.

Not a bad idea tbf, especially if we’re gonna sit back more and don’t need the pace at the back.

Don’t think starting mls would be any better than zinny so prefer your idea.

We’re going to get spanked.

At home?

For some reason I’m quite confidend about this game no matter who is available in the end.

Arteta showed he can prepare and motivate the team for a big game, atm I’m more concerned about our recent lapses in concetration in the smaller games.

6:0.

Ohh, just remembered we’re missing Saliba… Yeah, the backline could be an issue.

Just play the 2021 back four!
Proven and testes!
Tomi White Gabi Tierney

:+1:

Soares is still around?

Seriously though, I’m confident White and Gabriel can’t do the job at the back.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Saka starts too, still enough time until Sunday.
The team will be well rested and engorged.

Given the injuries not sure we have a choice.
