Arsenal vs Liverpool (PL) 0-0

I heard Dowman shouts.

That’s my cue to get out of here.

I don’t even think 8 points rules them out. It’s only January

For what? Liverpool didn’t have a single shot on target.

We’ll do the same for United in a few weeks :pires2:

Saliba had a shot, which he handled.. he is the player I am least frustrated at after this match. So disappointed after that second half

Fucking speechless after that mess.

City keep giving it to us but we don’t want it.

Nothing to be gained by reading 400 posts here.

First half we were very heavily on top and just didn’t create much. Just stopped playing second half.

As long as that doesn’t become a pattern we’ll be ok

It’s a frustrating result as I was really pumped to get a result against these cunts, but it’s not that bad really.
I just hope we improve on some stuff in the future.

Would be awesome to have Havertz back in the team as soon as possible.

Calmed down a bit. Watched Mikel’s presser and while he did admit we weren’t good in the second half, he did praise the boys for their run in the Christmas period.

Does make me wonder if fatigue did play a part in the second half. He often doesn’t complete his subs before the 80th minute, but he did this time.

We should see some heavy rotation against Portsmouth.

How did the team go from a 2 point gap to a 6 point gap at the top if they didn’t capitalise in the past?

I’m sure they want it badly, but they are chasing their first title together as a group. They still have it in them to drop a timid performance even if it’s not their intention.

I think until we get over the hurdle of winning something as a group, they won’t completely have the belief at all times that they have the edge to get it done. But we must find a way to get it done in this PL season, the chance is too ripe for us.

The rest of this season is gonna be a slog, guys. We’ll have more highs but it’s not going to go all our way, and the team is carrying 20+ years of pain and expectations on their back. I believe we’ll have enough consistency by season’s end to win the PL, but all of our nerves will be shredded by then.

And then youve got Liverpool fans celebrating a draw, like they won the game.

Luckily for them it seems like their manager wants to get them to a higher level.

Disappointing result and by the looks of it, a disappointing performance. Can’t help but feel an 8 point gap would have just killed any hope City had. I had a feeling we’ll struggle in this one, don’t know why. But hey, at least we kept the gap as is.

Anyway, it’s clear this City is a team very much in transition and will be inconsistent so am sure we’ll have more opportunities to capitalise. Let’s hope we take the next one.

It’s been said that he enjoys watching a couple of back-to-back episodes of On The Buses as part of his matchday ritual.

On paper, feels like 2 points dropped. But watching the highlights, I guess we didn’t deserve much more than the point. Still 6 points lead though. We move, I guess.

Poor performance, poor result, maybe the worst game of the season. That’s not the type of performance expected from a team who want to send a message on the pitch to all the league. Hope something didn’t went well because of lack of energies after an intensive festive fixtures but I suspect a lot of players felt FEAR of win. Liverpool players knew and eaten that. Played on our weaknesses creating more goalscoring chances than us. They were better in terms of personality and athleticism. Ran more and better than us, kept the ball more and better than us, defended more and better than us. Szoboszlai dominated the entire midfield. Rice has been bounced back many times, absolutely uneffective. McCallister and Gravenberch worked hard too, VVD and Konatè built a wall and intercepted everything went on their zone, Frimpong cooked MLS since first minutes on the pitch. Only duels we won are down to Timber on the right. Arsenal never had a clean idea of how and where to play the ball. Fans wanted to win more than the players. I’m sure Mikel is furious and will work intensively on the some bad things showed tonight. I will not sleep thinking of the killer pass made by Madueke ended into a dark hole because no one is capable to attack the space and be aggresive on the attacking line.
