Arsenal vs Liverpool (FA Cup) 0-2

330am 3rd round cup tie might be hard to get up for if I see Eddie is in the starting lineup and so are VVD and Konate.

I know, this is depressing

It’s much easier to just blame Eddie then all four of our forwards and our turgidly slow build up play in recent games.

He could be Thierry Henry and you would still ask this while saying how good Wimbledon are playing

Didn’t you know we need all the stars to align and everything to go perfectly to win the league but all Aston Villa need is a bit of belief?

Liverpool are without Salah which means they’ll not be at their strongest.
It could be a score draw, which neither team will want but I’ll go for us to win 2-1 with Saka and Odegaard to score.

I really want to see ESR get a start, or be considered to some serious degree. I think we really need to rotate our wings more and to make full use of the squad we have.

I imagine Havertz will start again and it will be interesting to see if he can build a relationship with ESR. If Jesus doesn’t start as well, you may as well hook Marti because it doesn’t look like he’s made a good connection with Kai so far.

I don’t want to ruin it for you but with Jesus out Nketiah is almost certain to start.

What is Jesus issue ? How long they expecting on the sidelines ?

Jesus injured again??

Nah. So far as I can see @GC-Maniac has decided he is because of a Twitter video of Nketiah scoring in training.

Great potentially another extended run of Eddie starting.

Yeah Jesus aint worth persisting with if he’s gonna be injured half the time.

Havertz or Trossard are way better all round 9s than Eddie imo, but I’m not sure the boss sees it the same way.

Mikel has his favourites and he is stubborn as fuck

I can look past a lot of Jesus’s blank firing because of his other qualities but if he’s gonna continue being out this frequently we seriously need to add extra firepower up front.

Sick of having to turn to Eddie every 6 weeks. Could say it’s a touch unfair on him too because it exposes how he’s not good enough when he has to cover for a solid percentage of the last couple seasons.

Jesus just isn’t the answer period both in terms of what he is bringing and also being prone to injury

It’s so strange Arteta isn’t using him there especially considering he primarily played there for Chelsea for years. It’s nothing new for him, he’ll deliver there (not so much with goals as with great hold up, link up; he could be that ā€œglueā€ up front we often miss).

So often need something different up front, we can shift Jesus to the flank too… And Arteta is stuck with Eddie as that plan B.
