Not the original, but I did have one back in ‘91.

My first ever shirt (apart from pajama tops I inherited from my older cousins),and the year I started going to games - getting applauded by Utd fans on the final game of the season, as the lads ran out as champions, Liverpool having dropped points just earlier that day.

I remember walking from my Aunt and Uncles house near Manor House station - party atmosphere. It was an amazing day.

Fuck me. I was doing yardwork to pass the time this morning, fell through a rotten section of a deck we never use and smacked myself in the face with hedge clippers that I was holding. Not nearly as bad as it might have been but I’m currently sitting in the hospital waiting to get an inch or so gash on my forehead stitched up.

My original is falling apart.

That first shirt you own is always special. Mine was the 88/91 Yellow/Navy top. Which is special for so many reasons. Happy memories. It’s good to be back where we belong.
