Arsenal Vs Dundalk (UEL)

Hale end haters @Phoebica and @Midfield_Maestro and @Castiel in the mud.

Lovely night :sunglasses:

Not to mention that there’s not a fucking follicle to be seen anywhere on his head

He must have some injury cos that’s that usual. He is 39 though and still one of the leagues top goalies.

It’s very hard following the match with this thread alongside. It’s like two different games. Overwhelmingly negative

Is their GK older than our coach, or?

Arsenal fans are sheep. Don’t criticise when we are shite, but Auba bails us out, continue defending Auba LW terrorism.

Then turn on Arteta so quick as soon as what many of us were saying will happen, happens.

And now overcompensating by going after players who aren’t responsible for us being shit at all.

We’re playing in the Europa League for like the 17th season in a row. Tough to be upbeat about having to watch this standard of competition.

Yeah, looking halfway like a competent football against Dundalk really proves me wrong. How will I sleep tonight?!

Have you gone full parody account or what?

Nicely, because we will have won a game and been the better team for a change. Hopefully.

Being serious, the players are doing fine and if anyone is unsatisfied, they should direct that to Arteta.

Astonishing cautiousness in his setup. Xhaka as a CB is fine, but 3 at the back and Elnenny also in midfield…

I’d like a switch to back 4, Balogun and ESR to make an appearance.

I get why people are upset with our current state, just feels like closed minds compared to what’s happening on the pitch when seeing certain comments.

We could be more than 2-0 up if individuals did better technically - we have overshot crosses, passes, had poor touches against a brick wall defence and that has affected our 1v1 chance creation. But people will attack Aretata’s approach regardless.

I think we can stop talking about how Pepe’s performances are worrying and start being honest in that he’s been a disappointment. He’s not showing his class against a team like Dundalk.

He’s a highly regarded winger prospect - and arguably isn’t being used properly.

But where we bought him for Ā£70m, his real value really is Ā£30m… big recruitment fuck up where that Ā£ could’ve been spent to get Aouar or even Thiago.

Nketiah deserves to play much more than he does.

Nelson should probably be ahead of Pepe.

I like Arteta, I just don’t think this is a game you can take any positives from. It’s really just a potential banana skin or embarrassment. If you avoid that then great but my minds already on the game against United at the weekend.

That’s where our season could be defined.

He’s not a prospect. He’s too old to be a prospect. We bought him to be a starter and possibly a star player. It looks like we’ve made a very big and very expensive mistake. Arteta isn’t above criticism but at some point we have to stop making excuses for the players.

yeah - I am reserving judgement though, we are only 6 games in. After 15 PL games, that’s when I’ll make up my mind.

Looking back at last year, he performed accordingly in terms of goal-contributions.

You can see it in him though - he could be a star.

Yeah, thats all his defenders wanna fucking see!

Believe me we’ll soon shut up if he turns out to be shit but we just want to see him given a fair fucking shake of it!
