The only frustrating part of yesterday’s game was how slow we were in transition.

Saka and Havertz had poor games.

Have to give Zinny credit, he didn’t get skinned as easily as I expected him to.

Do you get an erection by always looking at the negatives in life?

This is so accurate lol

Nowhere near as impressive as the scoreline suggests aside from some excellent set pieces. But there should be some confidence gained from capitalising in open play after Palace fell apart.

Would be foolish to look at this game against a terrible side and think the attack are back firing and linking up well again.

Tough set of fixtures ahead where anything short of an actual improvement out of this system in midfield and attack will be exposed.

Lets call a spade a spade. Palace didn’t even get off the coach yesterday and the scoreline flattered us a bit. This was purely a confidence builder for us but we got the job done.

Not sure why Saka is playing 90+ mins when the game is done an hour in. Honestly this is as neglegent as when Wenger played Wilshere for 50+ games in one season and broke him. Ridiculously shit squad management if you ask me.

I didn’t get the ESR hype either from social media and the like. His cameo was just him jogging about a bit and doing some 5 yard passes. Good to see him back but come on man nothing to write home about.

Gabriel was an absolute animal as well as Saliba, great brace espcially the first header, sublime. Thought Jorginho had a good appearance as well as Martinelli’s who goals were gifted by a suicidal Palace defence in all honesty.

Weren’t tested in the slightest but you can only beat what’s in front of you I guess.

I don’t think this is a far or accurate assessment of the match yesterday. Palace weren’t awful and we weren’t at our best either. It was a confidence booster for us and the goals were decent. Towards the end of the match you could see the players gaining in confidence.

Fair enough. I forgot to mention Jesus forgetting the offside rule and spending too much time on the floor, and Raya’s world class footwork. We were lucky Palace weren’t up for it.

In terms of poor, he had the highest pass percentage of yesterday’s game and linking up teammates around him if I’m not wrong.

Wasn’t this Xhaka’s characteristics??

You’re right, I’m terms of pass percentage - but he was quite lifeless in the game. Would’ve liked to him impose himself a bit more against a poor Palace side.

Super excited we thrashed them though!

Only in football and formula 1

Kind of agree but happy for the end result.

I also thought he attempted more progressive passes as opposed to the usual backwards/sideways safe pass
