Tbf, it’s more about what he doesn’t say than what he does say there, he speaks in extremely negative terms about what has happened over the past two years, without paying the normal niceties to the previous manager that typically occur in these situations (ESPECIALLY when they are from not just the same country but the same fucking town lol).

Yeah I have no complaints with what he saying, I just don’t put much stock in it at this stage. I LIKE Arteta much more as a person already than Emery, so he is easier to get behind too.
I will try to be consistent and reserve proper judgment on managerial prowess until at minimum March, but I think people are underestimating the Emery hangover going on that will last through this year…
WRT game by game - I honestly don’t care about points or position - we won’t be relegated. I just want to see progress and some clarity to wtf we’re about. I know things will go pear-shaped if we lose too much, so they aren’t unrelated things, but to me, I’d be much happier with 7th place and a clear idea about how we look, how we are progressing, and how things can improve into next year with some new people than stumbling aimlessly into 6th or even 4th perhaps (b/c this year 4th is going to be a VERY low points total imho).
