Burnley have been well drilled so will take that lead into half time. They will have to come out more in the second half now which will open up the play. I think this is one of those days where we need to be sensible and manage the game. Chances will be there but we don’t need to win 5-0…we just need a win. More important that we dont concede a silly goal and let them back in.

We’ve been a bit disappointing though and not good from Havertz again he’s seems so scared
Havertz has made some decent linking passes but he is clearly lacking confidence. The fact he didnt take that shot when he had the chance says a lot!
Some people can try and fool themselves into believing this is what they envisaged what it looked like when we’d finally shifted Xhaka and signed a supposed upgrade but nah this is not it at all
We were supposed to sign someone that is tech’d out and a proper baller, who offers as much off the ball as they do on it. Not someone who is now being graded on winning duels, defending set pieces and scoring the odd goal if at all. That sounds like the likes of Fellaini or Soucek to me. The addage “when someone shows you who they are, believe them” rings true here.
Anyways great work from Trossard, we should be slapping two or three more on their heads today.
