Then beat Man City to get the title won before we play West Ham so we can give them the points they need to finish above spurs. ![]()
I agree I should have phrased it better, if we win our games it wont matter what City do which is what I am saying which is a good feeling
A win and not losing against City pretty much does it and we can almost solely focus on Europe - a luxury that Barca, PSG and Real do not have.
This feels like the biggest game of the season and itās at the Emirates. Please.
I want to beat City at the Etihad. The whole game may be irrelevant in the end, but it would be so sweet to do it. Weāre very capable of doing it, probably by playing the most defensive, harram Arteta ball possible, but itās the way we do things at the moment.
If ever there was a time for the statement victory at that place to come itāll be now. Itās the one major result in the league that Arteta hasnāt been able to get, and despite the fact that we may not even need it mathematically it would be nice to crown this title push with that win.
Nice early kick off in the sun. Three points and then enjoying the rest of the weekend.
Itās Wednesday and I canāt get this game off my mind. Being off work should mean my mind is free. This title race is occupying my thoughts 20% of waking hours. Canāt wait to be back at work next week!
Oh man that sounds so perfect.
The only way we go to the Etihad and win is if we beat Bournemouth and City drop points at Chelsea. I think that flattens them and settles the title race. But if we drop points at Bournemouth and they beat Chelsea.. I think theyāll comfortably beat us
An underrated factor here is that Bournemouth hasnāt played since March 20th, whereas weāve had two matches since the end of the international break. Theyāll obviously be very well rested - which could favor them in the second half - but I think it gives us an opportunity to blitz them early when theyāre still finding their feet and getting their rhythm.
This is a match to come out aggressively and try to grab a goal early.
I donāt think City will comfortably beat our best side. They might win but only in a tight match. Their two cup wins were both odd idiosyncratic games in their own ways and before that they were getting their ass beat by a very poor Madrid and drawing against Forest and West Ham. We have our own flaws but they just arenāt that good compared to past City sides and the last time they beat us in the league was three years ago (the 4-1 beatdown to kill our title hopes in 2023).
The Arsenal thing would be to do this exactly, but failing take our chances. Meaning the second half will be nervy as fuck as Bournemouth improve, while we look for the lead still.
Hope we do take the early chance(s) this time.
Dropping points in this one I think.
of course you do ![]()
Wonder who will start up front in this one. Got to think Kai will start against Man City, so likely Gyokeres gets the nod against Sporting midweek.
Hopefully no more surprise injuries so we can keep them rotated.
God Iām so anxious. A win will release a lot of pressure for the Man City game, if we go there and just draw itās as good as over for City. If we go there needing to win, I can see trouble ahead.
Iām stating the obvious, but thatās where my brain is at.
Potentially our biggest game since the 2006 Champions League final?
[formation=4-3-3]
Raya
Timber - Saliba - Gabriel - Cala
Odegaard - Zubi - Rice
Saka - Gyokeres - Martinelli

Think I agree. Would start Noni. The captain is good at pressing, we need a fast start. Get on to them. Saka and Havertz on for the second half with the aim of both starting vs Sporting and City.
Iām shooting for Saka starting because I think we need to get him back up to speed as quickly as possible. Iām a big fan of Noni but Iād rather start with Saka and then drag him off and bring Noni on.
Just want him to be back into the swing of things heading into the City game.
